Post Nomination and Pre-Election

Now that nomination for GE candidates is over, we are just waiting for that all important date to come by and we are all eager to see what changes would there be after March 8th.

Sure there are a lot of indifference on opinions and parties supported. Also there will be a lot of true and untrue rumours flying around in the hope to just getting that bit of extra votes from us the pitiful voters. We all know BN will surely win this GE and the only thing we all are very keen to know is how many seats will they win as compare to previous GE.

For the last 4 years or so since Pak Lah declared the new government, a lot has been said and done. We are all here to witness and judge on what's been promised and done. During the last 4 years, I think a lot of people thought with Pak Lah, at least our main problem will be solved, that is the corruption issue. That's the first promise Pak Lah made upon his appointment as PM. What happen to that? You all wise Malaysian should be smart enough to know the fact.

Then comes his cabinet. He may look sincere and with a Mr Nice Guy look, but what he do compare to what he said majority is different. He also promised a lot of things, which is countless now but most of them never materialised. And most of the time he still have the mood to show journalist how sweet and romantic man he could be with his "NEW WIFE", and that they are in love so much they always appear on newspaper. Why wouldn't he just compete in the "modern family" contest?

We have been cheated by this useless government for 5 years now, and I do hope they wouldn't enjoy the majority in the parlimen after 8th of March and this may teach him and his cabinet a lesson that they can't do what they want, as they like. With some opposition in the parlimen, I think we will find more culprits within the current government and administration. We don't want all these scumbags, and we all want Malaysia to be recognise internationally.

I hope you all would be smart enough this time round to vote for the person who really can contribute to our society, who can really help develop the country, who fought blood and sweat for the community, and putting in 110% effort to make thing materialised, be it BN, DAP, PAS Keadilan or other minor party. What we want is for our society to move forward towards our once famous "Vision 2020"

Horrified Injury to Eduardo

After watching yesterday's EPL game between Birmingham and Arsenal, it was horrible to see such injury to Arsenal's striker, Eduardo Da Silva. My feeling all went out to him. Now I can only wish him get well soon, and hope he will be able to be back on football field sooner.

I remember the last time I watch such horrified incident happened was way back in the mid 90s, where a player (forgotten his name suddenly) was tackled by Brian Mclair, and his was more horrified than this as his shin was broken into 2 halves, and the blood still draining down onto the football field. That player never recovered from that injury and he was never on playing field again.

I believe Martin Taylor didn't do it intentionally, and on football field anything could happened, and this one is just an unfortunate incident that happened during a live telecast game. The moment I saw that tackle went in, and caught Eduardo, suddenly my whole body felt itchy and there I knew something bad had happened.

Comment made by Arsene Wenger during post match interview may just be heat at that moment, and no one would want this to happen. I'm sure Martin Taylor is the same, just like Brian Mclair then, he was totally shaken and couldn't continue with that match.

Here wishing Eduardo get well soon.

Arsenal The Sore Losers

Arsenal is such a sore loser and it was proven again during their last weekend FA Cup defeat at Man Utd. This time it's William Gallas that's the cry baby. It's very stupid of William Gallas to kicked out at Nani after Nani's juggling of ball during the game. Ball juggling is allow in football, and if that's the excuse of kicking out at opponent, then opponent should just bring along whatever to lash out at those gunners when Arsenal is leading or winning because they play too beautiful a football game.

Football is an entertainment games, and there should be some 'Showboating' along the games if oppotunity arise, and permitted. Things happened when Nani was juggling the ball and there was nothing wrong with it. Why did William Gallas made it such a big fuss about it? Isn't ball juggling allowed in football?

During his day at Chelsea I already dislike Gallas due to his attitude problem. When losing he will start acting like what he did last sunday. He's that kind of player who is lacking the education, personality, and he's just a small crying baby all the time. In football there's always winning and losing, but it isn't everything. It's how you react and how you treat it that is more important. This apply to every aspect of life, not just football.

In life there bounce to be ups and downs. If you reacted badly in the downs, that shows just how immature you are, as in this case William Gallas. So Prof Arsene Wenger should start up a class teaching all his young guns to learn how to accept defeat and react in a positive way rather than blaming others for their immaturity and fault. As it's always the case for Arsenal, there is nothing much we could do to change their mentality on this. So bear with them and let them be the naive and pityful gunners and sore losers

Nokia 6110 Navigator

I am thinking of changing my old fashioned handphone now. After searching over and over for the last 1 year plus I hardly find any new handphone that I really like. That's also why I still use my old 5-yr-old samsung phone. Buttons and panel are now at its lifespan limit, and it's about time for me to get a new phone now.

Few days ago I happened to passed by Nokia shop, and finally I came across a phone that really interest me. Nokia 6110 Navigator. Has anyone uses this phone now or know something about it? Can you please post your comment on this phone here so I can know more about this phone.

This is the only phone in the market that attracted me and if this is value for money, I would go for this phone, otherwise I would have to wait until the next phone attracted me in such way. Thanks for your comment

Evergreen Paolo Maldini and Ryan Giggs

Last Wednesday nights' Champion's League football matches witnessed two of the greatest footballers marked a milestone for their respective club as well as their personal milestone. AC Milan's Paolo Maldini marked the 1000th games for AC Milan and Man Utd Ryan Giggs marked the 100th games for Man Utd in the Champion's League.

Both players have played for only one club throughout their career, and that both players' performance have been maintained at such high level all the time. It is quite difficult, if not impossible to find such player in the modern era football to have such loyalty towards their club. Players now are more money orientated, and some are club's reputation orientated.

Paolo Maldini career has been dedicated to AC Milan all life long, and even at 40, he's still able to compete with youngsters with such efficient and accurate performance. He's from a soccer family, who the father was once Italy national hero as well, and he's now a notional icon too. He inheritaged his father's pride and he will be remembered for what he contributed to AC Milan and Italy national team.

Ryan Giggs has been developed into such complete and mature player all thank to the evergreen coach of him, Sir Alex Ferguson, who is his only club coach throughout his career, and he is approaching the club's record appearance probably by this year. He's been such great entertainer eversince he's being introduced into the first team with his dazzling play, and run at opponents. It is that entertaining of seeing his run at opponents, and lightning speed of him that make us all scream and enjoy. He has such a great feet that when at full speed, there isn't many players who can chase after him, and he's always able to stay out from being hack, pull or tackle down by opponents.

Staying out of trouble is what make both players sustaining their career until now, and with the way they play, it would be easily for them to carry on playing football for long time to come, and that there's no age boundary for both players. They would be able to play as long as they wish to.

So here I would want to congrate both the players and pay our tribute to both greatest players in modern era football

Weakened MCA

After the standing down of Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy from the upcoming general election, we would see a weakened MCA line-up in the next general election.

As many people said previously, MCA has been splited into two all the while, namely A-Team and B-Team. Datuk Seri Chan is one of the last leader from B-Team, and from now he withdrew from the participation in the next GE, I can't see MCA have any calibre leader who would do a better job than Datuk Seri Chan. It is unfortunate that Chan was involved, or rather being mentioned in the recent discovered RM 46 Billion wasted on West Port development.

How true is that Datuk Seri Chan is the main culprit for that scandal is beyond our knowledge, but from the way things were judged and conclude, it's quite easy to know that Chan was the scapegoat in the whole thing, and that someone is taking this opportunity to force Chan to withdraw from the coming election. If ever Malaysian agents' work efficiency is at such level, why is the Altantunya and VK Lingam case still in the hearing stage, rather than concluded? Has they really investigated who's the main culprit of the whole episode of the scdandal?

Body languages of some of the MCA leaders during Chan's annoucement clearly shows that everything is all pre-fixed, and that we will see almost a whole new line-up for MCA. It will also mark the end of B-Team in MCA, and we will now only have one team, which means United MCA. Can this be the case? Or we will see a new B-Team or rather C-Team emerging?

Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting always mentioned if we don't vote for MCA, Chinese's voice would never be heard in the parliment, and if he is true to what he said, then chinese's voice will never be heard whether it's MCA or DAP represent the chinese in the parliment, simply because MCA do not have enough power in the parliment, and that DAP is an opposition party, which automatically have no rights to anything or participation. Simple!!! So who should we vote for?

Gen 2 Candidates

In the up coming general election, we will see a number of children or family members taking over from their parents or alongside them. Is this good for the country?

This is a fixed scandals, and why should they be allow to participated in the first place? Is it because their parents were reps before so they enjoy a previlage of getting nominated? For example in Klang Datuk Zakaria is being omitted from the nomination list, yet his son is now being nominated.

Rumous spreaded that Datuk Z involved in one too many of a court case, hence it's not suitable to stand for this coming election. Therefore he nominated, or suggested his son as a replacement to the cabinet so in case anyone who would wanted to take action against him would be dealt with difficulties due to his son's influence. Not sure how true is this, but sound reasonable.

There are others where similar scenario is happening, and people who we do not know or even heard of is being nominated to stand the election. Are these people really up to the tasks? Are they standing for election base on their own ability or because of family influences that make them candidates?

Someone within the cabinet always mentioned we are a clean and fair country and government, but all these are purely textbook talk without any basis, and whatever they did showed otherwise. So how true is their statements and also can we really trust them for another term? I sincerely hope BN will lose more seats in the parliment than they anticipated and they would learn from their misbehaviour and inability to guide the country.

Is this bribery

Government has been approving many projects, like build new chinese school, together with some upgrading, then additional fund for facilities improvement being handed out immediately. All this indicates that GE is just around the conner and that government is doing its best to give out sweets to public in the hope to attract more votes towards them.

In another way, they are bribing the public into voting them, and yet they can get away with it without any hassel. If an opposition party doing the same, they are classified as giving bribes to public.

Why Malaysia will have such double standard law? Government and opposition doing the exact same thing, yet the intepretion is totally different. When government doing it is call looking after of taking care of public. When opposition doing it, they are call bribing the public into voting them during GE.

So we are all fed-up with this government since god know how long ago. Whatever they said we just listen. If we do not agree, just keep to ourself. This way will save us from a lot of trouble. Hope you all smart voters should know where your vote should be casted into.

Clash of Titans

Man Utd is hosting Arsenal at Old Trafford this saturday for the 5th round of English FA Cup. Who do you think will win this clash of Titans? Can Man Utd move out from their slump in form on time or will the Gunners continue their fine forms?

Base on the previous 2 weeks results, form book has to be with the Gunners. But looking at the tie which is play at OT, it would not be easy for Gunners to overrun the Devils easily. On the other hand the Devils will not have it their way either.

So it all boils down to who perform better on match day and who could withstand the intense pressure of out-performing the other. Man Utd have the players to do it, and run the show their way. Gunners has proved over and over again they are no pushover eventhough their team is filled with youngsters.

My prediction for this game got to go with Man Utd because:-
1st - I'm a Man Utd fan
2nd - It's playing at OT
3rd - Gunners feel more pressure than Man Utd as they will be starting the match as favourite
4th - Home supporters will push MU all the way
5th - Devils would not want to lose twice in as many games
6th - Until last week MU only conceded 3 goals at OT and score many more
7th - er...... that's all I could think of at the moment!

What about you? Post your opinion here

Noisy Nite

It's the 9th day of CNY and it's the most important day for Hokkien people to celebrate, even more important than CNY itself.

The reason I'm staying up so late is because the fire crackers sound were so noisy that I couldn't get into sleep till now, and it still continue at the moment. Just wondering what time will it end.

But in another hand, without this CNY will sound so quiet and at least this created some CNY mood among the community. We can still hear some fire crackers around, and this sound more like CNY.

Just wish our "NEW" government will allow some fire crackers to be imported into Malaysia during festive season so the tradition could be prolonged!
