House Maid Abused

Today's newspaper said that the abused house maid has been discharged from hospital following her treatment there and there's this government officer, police and other people taking her from the hospital.

I was wondering all the time should we feel sympathy for all these maids? Are they the one provoking the employers, or are they made up the stories to cover their own shortfalls? I still remember there are so many cases of maids abusing their employers by mising urine into their food, beated up the employers, killing employers and many more.

So far I have not really heard of any of these cases being solved, and why on earth are we, the employer who's always on the wrong end of these incidents. Those abusing their maids should be punished and no doubt they deserve it, but when maids committing criminals, they equally should be penalised.

But this country's law does give the impression that if the maids is from Indonesia, or more critically, a muslim, they will find themselve in the safe side of incidents. This is a double standard law by the Malaysian governments, and it's very unfair for us, the consumers, employers to live with.

If this government don't change their attitude, we will change them for sure! It's only slightly more than 3 years time left!
