Where to go during CNY

Any good suggestion where to go during CNY festive? I am looking for some suggestion as CNY could be quite boring at home.

So appreciate your input here. Thanks

Amazing Race Asia 2

Amazing Race Asia Season 2 almost finish. Who you think will win? Can Malaysian girls do us proud again? Which country you like most amongst all these visited by contestants? Is the result or outcome fair so far?

EPL Half Season

It's now slightly more than half an EPL season. Let's review what happened so far and how's our prediction so far.

As expected, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea still in the hunt for EPL title, and at first we all thought Liverpool might be able to challenge for the title after years of suffering and it look like finally Rafael Benitez can put together a side capable to challenge for the title.

As usual Man Utd had a slow start this year, and they were nearly being written off just after a few games into the season. Once Rooney and Co clicked in, they are unstoppable, and they could even grinded out results when needed. Ronaldo is in the form of his life, and from the way he plays, it is not difficult for him to hit a record number of goals scored by winger since George Best. Until yesterday he got 27s to George's 32s total. So another 6 goals in 20 odd games should not be a big problem for Ron the boy. Not only these two, Tevez also get into the team fairly fast, and now with Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo, Man Utd is the most fearsome attacking team of EPL. Don't forget about Ryan Giggs, Scholes, Carrick, Ferdinand, Anderson, Nani, Vidic, Brown and so on. List just keep going and going. All have played their part and surely they will carry on into the second half of season.

Arsenal surprised us most. We thought after the departure of Henry, the gunners will suffer because lack of fire power. Yet in turn they found Adebayor. Record doesn't illustrate him as a natural replacement for Henry, and that his record is hard to convince he is. But after half season, he proved people wrong by being the 2nd highest scorer. What if he grab another few of his chances. Cesc Fabregas and Flamini also a revealation for Prof Arsene. They have form such a combative partnership and they could withhold any of midfield combination of EPL. I think the most worry Arsene has is when one of them is down injured or absent. Arsenal is a totally different team without one or both of them. So whether Arsenal can sustain their good form is remain to be seen

As for Chelsea, they have showed they recovered from the sudden departure of Jose Mourinho. Avram Grant is not well known, and that his record has nothing to show to convince us he's the correct replacement. Yet his recent result proved us wrong and now they are still within touching distance of the big twos. When theirAfrican players are back from African Nation Cup, surely their squad will be stronger and more complete. Then they would mount a serious title challenge to the big two.

As for Liverpool, it is quite a big dissapointment after the bullish x-mas period. They were only few points off the top, as compare to 17 last year same period, we all thought Liverpool finally can put a team capable to challenge for EPL crown. But just when you think you are able to do it, twists always stands in between. That's exactly what happened to Rafa. He thinks Liverpool is strong enough to rotate the squad, that's where his biggest failure comes in. I think his players doesn't have faith in him anymore because you could play really well this game and being told to sit out the next. There's no continuity at all and by looking at it, Liverpool has no chance of whatever silverware let alone the EPL.

This year there are few surprise packages. First is Everton and Man City. Both have done exceptionally well, so do Portsmouth and Blackburn. But 2 of them dropped out a little since x-mas, and I think Everton might spring some surprise by qualify for the Champions' League Qualifying round rather than Liverpool. Man City may ended up in UEFA Cup competition under Sven Goran Eriksson. I would love to see them qualify for that as well, as this can prove some English that Sven is a good coach for England, and they have missed out a good coach/manager.

Others not much of surprise, and expecting Derby, Fulham and Wigan to drop into Championship next season.

Reduced Speed Limit

Does it help in reducing the number of accidents by reducing its speed limit? How can they clarify that speed is the main culprit for fatal accident? How can Samy Vellu quantify that?

All the while it's been debated over why our accident rate stay at such high figure? Why wouldn't our drivers drive on the road with more cautious and patient? Does anyone bother to find out the root cause of it?

Answer is no. No one bother to find its root cause of why Malaysia have such high accident rate. No one care if the accident is caused by human error or government error. Whatever it is, the blame will be due to speeding. Without speeding, drivers can control and stop the car in time to avoid all these incidents happened. Without speeding, damage wouldn't be as bad as such etc.

I think speed is a minor issue as compare to driver's attitude. Malaysian drivers tend to have a KiaSu attitude and also there are a lot of morons who think they are on-the-road racers. Those who modified their car heavily thinks they are driving a Ferrari or Porsche. The actual fact is this bunch of idiots are living in their own fantasy and putting other road users' lifes at risk all the time.

Another possible factor is the general road condition in Malaysia. Roads in Malaysia can never be trusted, and you bound to find some pot holes here and there regardless of which road you are using, be it highway or country road. Some drivers may try avoiding such things and that's when accident happened because this thing comes so quick and there isn't much time for drivers to think and react.

Thirdly is the road signboards. Malaysia tends to have a very funny signboards, which they like to locate it right at the junction and also some signboards was terminated far away after leading drivers to certain area. Our government must be expecting drivers to know their way after leading them half way thru.

So in order to cut down accident rate, the most important thing is to re-educate these morons and idiots so they are more cautious on the road, and then slowly government will find out that the main actual fact of road accident is caused by this, rather than speeding. In actual fact, speed limit in a lot of countries are higher than Malaysia, and their population is much more than Malaysia, yet their accident rate is well kept at low level.

Weather Changed

Recently weather has changed around the world. Just few years ago we are complaning about global warming and temperature is on the up. But over the last year, our average temperature has decreased for the first time it history.

Yet for this we've heard a few disasters happened around the world. Most recent is in China, where millions of people were forced to cancel their trip back home due to the extreme weather and cancellation of its transports.

Yesterday when watching news, I could see thousands of people stranded at railway station or bus station, just to try getting home for their all important Chinese New Year, also called Lunar new year celebration. Some people travel thousands of miles away to make a better living, and this is the only time where they would be able to rejoin the family reunion, and a lot of them already spoilt by the bad weather.

I really do feel symphaty for those who were unable to join their family reunion for such big occasion. So we must be glad that Malaysia do not have such disaster happened and we are still able to join family reunion for those who travel outstation for better living.

Another MEGA Project

Last week, our big mouth PM promised another mega project to be implemented in Sabah.

Of all these so call Mega Project Development, how many are really being carryout, and are they really materialise? Or is it just another empty talk that is, as usual, trying to convince the public that government have long term plan, and development is on its way after yet another launch of "Sabah Economic Corridor" or something like that.

Over the past few years, we'd heard Abdullah said there willl be this and that development area coming up. But how many of us would actually follow up these plans? How many of us will actually ask "Where's the IDR progress?" "Where's the East Coast Corridor progress?" and many more

I have a friend who works in Project development sector, who is interested in joining the IDR project. He first went for acquiring the land from government sector, and after a few re-directed indications within the government department, he eventually found out the contact person, who is way off for IDR project. That's not it, and he was later asked to look for an agent, who might help in his search for the piece of land acquire. When contacted, he was told that IDR actually is not up and running as published or annouced, their progress is exceptionally slow and that no one actually would dare to start the works.

From this it shows that IDR is actually a big conned and when government annoucing IDR, their intention is just to attract some foreign investment funds for their own purposes, and that the project will eventually scrapped due to inactive and lack of investment.

So for the announcement of Sabah Economic Corridor, I would just listen to it and take it as another dream that would never see materialised. What you think?

Time for Change in Badminton Games

Time have come for Badminton games to take a change. What happened recently during few tournaments shows that technology should be introduced into the game to avoid more controversial and ugly decisions.

During the recent concluded Korean Open, we have seen what no one ever seen before in Badminton world. World No 1 player Lin Dan almost having a brawl with his countryman, Korean coach, Li Mao. But what causes all this? Can this be avoided and the games being played under clean and fair manner?

Just look at what happen to other racket games like tennis and cricket, they have introduce the Hawk Eye system in order to prevent doubted line calls, favoutisms towards certain players etc. Even football do have some sort of technologies included in their games, although it is minor, but that shows technology have become part of sporting event today.

I don't like what is being done by either Lin Dan, Li Mao nor the line judges. But if we look back at history, Korean line judges tends to have the history of favouring their home players. It must go all the way back in the early 90s to talk about this and back then, without all these modern hi-tech camera around, the line judge can call a shot that is well out of boundary "IN". We can see from the TV screen that the shuttle dropped right in between the 2 side lines, which is out for single, but the judge said IN, to everyone's surprise. Then came last year's China Open, where a few calls went against Lee Chong Wei.

Afterall, line judges still human, and they are surely favouring them own home players, and no matter how "fair" they are, they will surely give any doubt decision advantages towards their players. I'm sure everyone will do the same. So how to prevent this from happening, is by introducing a widely favoured system, called Hawk Eye!

England Squad Call Up

Is Capello doing the right thing by excluding David Beckham? Can England perform well without David Beckham? Does David Beckham that important to England? Is David Beckham worth the first name on every England Manager's team sheet? It has been quite a long time since England performed well and longer still when England perform well with David Beckham in the squad.

No disrespect to Mr Beckham, but I think Beckham era is now over and England doesn't really all depends on Beckham. No doubt David still has the skill and experience, which is useful for the young and rising stars, but time have changed and there are other better player around, who I think should be fairly given their chance.

David Beckham can still win his 100th cap for England, and for now I think it is really important for Fabio Capello to find new young talented players for the future. If Fabio is doing what Kevin Keegan and others did by selecting the same old team over and over again, I'm sure there will be a lot of missed opportunity for both country and the players itself in making the team stronger.

We no doubt must given credit to David Beckham for what he has done over the years for England, and we must admit that David Beckham is a truely professional and he acts in a professional way when he's not being included in the team. Now it's only a friendly match and surely Capello is using this opportunity to find a capable replacement for those who thinks they are a confirmed starters for England.

Fabio Capello has his own way of managing teams, although club and country football is a totally different games, yet management wise should not be far away, and what impressed me most about Fabio Capello is the name itself - He doesn't give into big name, famoused and attitude star players. When he made mistakes, he normally admitted it and he holds no grude against anyone so long the players can prove valuable to the team.

So with Capello England team is open and doors always open for any players. No one will permanently being rejected and no one can guarantee inclusion in his team all the time. The only way guarantee inclusion for Mr Capello is PERFORMANCE and ATTITUDE! I must and totally agree with this. No one is more important than the team

Good news for Chinese Community

Educational Minister has promised to build 3 new chinese schools and also shifted another few to a better and more populated area to sustain its operation. Why wouldn't he do so few years back when he suppose to? Why is the government trying to close down few school years back whereas now they not only not cloasing down, but open few new ones?

For this there's only one thing that would came across most's mind, which is one of the pre-election promises by government. They are trying to buy all people's votes come GE, and by looking at this moment's situation BN tends to lose more seats than previous GE due to recent ongoing matters like Hindraf marching, Assembly, etc which has caused some unrested worries within the government plus another important factor, which is the Former DPM Factor. Guess the current government has more worry than any other issue than this, because of ............. (up to your imagination)

Cloverfield!

Have anyone ever vomit after watching a movie in cinema? Have anyone ever felt sick after watching movie in cinema? That's the feeling I got after watching the first 50 minutes of Cloverfield where at that point I was on the brink of vomitting.

I just don't understand why the movie was shoot at such scene and what make it worst is that camera keep swinging around as if you are in the scene itself. What makes people headache is the movement of the camera is so fast and that we have to really concentrating and focus on a certain point, which is impossible.

At first I still try to stay on till the end of show, but really can't and finally decided to quitting the cinema before I mess up the place. I also notice a lot of people's head were either lying on the next's shoulder or was really dropped and looked sick during the movie. I was the first to walked out, and I stayed outside cinema for 3 minutes, and notice another 6 people also came out, we smiled to each other knowing what we are smiling for.

I think this movie is a real low cost, budget and cheap movie made and just wonder if the director is thinking of having a sequel of it because the ending leave the door open for a sequel. Hopefully not, or if yes I would not even dare to watch it anymore

11th Hr Declared Holiday!

Abdullah Badawi announced Taipusam as public holiday on the 11th hour, and for majority of employees this must be good news for them as they could enjoy an extra day of leave, but for employers, it must be a pain in the arse because their works has been interrupted. Me too as I had lined up some appointments for the day and yesterday receive calls from various parties to have the appointments cancelled.

This has shows that there's no planning from Badawi and he's doing so because election is coming and that he tried to attract the few more votes from certain community. If he has been planning for this he would have been announcing it long ago so that works can be well prepared and arrangement is being made accordingly.

Now with the sudden announcement, thousands of works were interrupted and there certainly have some impact on work progress. So from now on we must learn to always have plan B and/or plan C just in case similar thing happened again.

Malaysia BOLEH! BADawi BOLEH! Absulluh BOLEH!

BAM is sick!

What happened recently within BAM is disgusting and shameful! Players are quitting the national team to join an independent team in order to revive their international career? What is this suppose to mean?

I am not in the position to tell what kind of policy and structure BAM is having, but as an outsider's point of view it is not difficult to know BAM is having some funny policy on sending players competing in international tournaments.

What's the most notably thing is that BAM always sending only limited players to certain tournaments, and comparatively to other nations, it is easy to know why Malaysia only have limited players ranked high on the IBF ranking list.

If you only send certain 'MAIN' players to compete, what can we expect the younger players to perform when given them a rare chance to compete with the best? Do they really stand a chance to fight against the best? The answer is no simply because they can be train behind closed door for months, and when you go to tournaments, it's different playing against international player rather than their own teamates only.

That also explain why players wanted to quit to get more chances, and also why our shuttler can't perform at the big stage

VK Lingam's Explaination on the Video Clip

It is funny enough VK Lingam is saying the person in the video clip shown looks and sounds like him, but it's not him! Also he explains he's just acting in front of Loh's talking on phone whereas there's nothing over the other end of conversation. Again he said he talked rubbish when drunk!

I think most people with little brain cell would know what he's trying to say. First he may be able to shrugged off the doubt of the person appeared in the clip, but how on earth can he say he's pretending talking to someone doesn't exist at the other end of conversation. Unless he's crazy or he's diagnose with some kind of mental illness that leads him to have the imagination of having conversation with himself.

The funniest part comes in the third, if someone can just shake off the responsibility by explaining "talking rubbish when drunk" then how come Tan Sri V T could claimed such huge amount of compensation in reputation damage back in the 90s? Can we just go up to anyone we hated and do something then explain I do nonsense when drunk. Is this acceptable in legal cases? Can this made him escape sanctions he supposely to get?

In other countries, surely it is not, but I have a mojor doubt that this explaination is accepted by Malaysia's judges. So do not be surprised if VK Lingam gets away with this explaination.

Proton BLM

After weeks of waiting, we can finally see the real appearance of latest Proton model - BLM.

I was wonder why the advertisement for BLM is kept so secretive, and why don't they just publish the outlook of the BLM. At first I thought it's something different and special in the design or appearance. Sadly and not, nothing special to it.

After saying all the above, I sincerely wish Proton all the best with their operating and company performance. Afterall it's out national car maker and good or bad it has served our nation proud for the last 23 years. At least we've done something a lot of country can only dream of.

Good or bad, long lasting or fragile like Milo tin we said, Proton Saga has been there for more than 2 decades and today we still see them on the road running. This proved Proton Saga is long lasting as well. So to launch its replacement model after so many years of selling really is a must step forward.

As we've known Proton is not doing well over the last few years and they are losing hundreds of millions yearly. That could be significant and damaging to Proton, but somehow they manage to come out of it and now they've launch as many new models in as many years. They first launched the so call Gen 2 replacement model, Proton Persona last year and now they launched the new BLM. IT's a good sign that they could produce more models for the vast consumers to choose from, and given more choices to consumer who really can't affort imported car, like me!

Generally Proton Persona looks very similar to Gen 2 and it's only their management keeps declaring it as a new model. Whether new model or replacement model, so long they keep up their quality control of the product and giving end-users the confident that Proton is trying the best to improve the product quality. As for BLM, I'm still not sure how it looks and the specs as well. But one thing that's important for Proton to survive is to ensure consumers get value for money for car they purchased.

Proton continuously declared that they can turn things around and with its new lauched model, they would be able to turn around the corner and bring back the old glory days of Proton history. How true and how far is this correctly stated is beyond our sight, but if Proton can put in more effort into its QC rather than appearance alone, it will be more practical and it may boost its overseas export of Proton cars as well.

But if they are declaring they could turn things around by launching new models after new models, yet quality stay where they are, then it won't be long we will see the end of Proton Era. Wish I could be proven wrong, but I still strongly believe Proton will put in more effort into exterior design improvement than its product quality control........

Ambulance....

Today I was driving along a heavy traffic flow way and saw an ambulance with the flashing light on. I thought it's emergency so I gave way to the ambulance even when traffic was really slow and hardly any space for me to move over. But I still manage to move over to let it pass by.

Then I realise this ambulance is actually turning on the light to asked other vehicle to give way so that he don't have to wait in the queue. After the jam, I just saw the ambulance move away slowly with the light now turned off.

I was quite furious about it and thought for a second - What if it really emergency and we don't let it pass? Will we be charge for obstructing ambulance way and putting the injured person's life at risk? Will we get a summon for such act of ignorance?

I think answer would be yes as this is the universal law of giving way to ambulance, fire engines and police petrol car when in emergency case. But what if these vehicles were making wrong used of their authority to want others giving them way for their own convenient sake? Will they pay the penalty as us should they found guilty?

I seriously hope this is a one-off case and wouldn't see anymore such act in future because I still believe majority of these people and/or servant are genuine person. If found guilty, authority should not be hesitate to put them in jail or sentence them to an appropriate punishment so lesson learnt.

Internal Affairs Within BAM

BAM has been denying there is politics within the organisation. How true is this is beyond our nowledge, but from one particular incident we know there IS some politics within the organisation.

Our government has been spending millions of ringgits trying to bring up our future players, and providing them with the best possible facilities to help them develop into one of the best world player. Recent example is our Men's double of Koo Kian Keat-Tan Boon Heong, Choong Tan Fook- Lee Wan Wah, Gan Teik Chai-Lin Woon Fui etc. We have so many potential world beaters and they knew it as well with a proper guidances, facilities and experienced coach, they will have a chance to take the world by storm.

Yet after just few days of its start of Malaysian Open before even Q-Final stage, we have heard Rexy, one of the best coach I've ever seen in Badminton world wanted to resign succum to the pressurised working environment (wonder why is that), two of our promising double pairs are heading to independent club, KLRC and having former coach Li Mao criticising our BAM.

All these do show that BAM is having a huge and difficult task ahead of them before players and results within the management levels. People have been trying to fully utilised their power into getting things done their way disregard of the national interest, people are blocking some potential young rising star from developing due to their history with others, independent body from outside BAM do have some say in BAM decision making role (What is this all about actually when someone not relating to BAM can have a final say in BAM decision?) Don't BAM have someone more capable of making decision than the outsider?

And come back to Rexy's resignation. Why would he do so when he know his charge is having a great chance of winning our country's first ever Olympic Gold medal? Is he bowed under external pressure? Or is he really giving up on his charges? Is it really there is no more hope for Malaysia Badminton? Is our players being too protective and spoilt by our government? All this I can assure NO is the answer. Rexy wanted to resign because he doesn't have a full control of his role. People would want a piece of his work here and there, and I think there are some minor and major restriction to his work.

We all know Rexy love Badminton more than anything except his family and he wouldn't just walk away like that. There is genuinly a reason for his action last week, which I think most probably due to BAM internal politics. With such kind of things happened within BAM itself, I do not see Malaysia badminton future will progress any further than what they'd achieved so far, and believe me, after Lee Chong Wei, we will never find another World No 2 let alone No 1 and world champion.

We Malaysian are really and truely disappointed with BAM and all the management people in there because they are wasting our time and effort in supporting them, and I really regretted to watch back badminton after believing we stand a strong chance in Beijing 2008 after seeing what happen over the past week. I would rather switching into sports like cricket or rugby than watching this stupid badminton because we stand no chance, disappointment after disappointment and now hearing all this damn speculations. I totally felt let down, ashame and disgrace at what's been said and speculated over the last week

Malaysian Drivers

It is frustrating when you stuck in traffic jam for hours. What make it even more frustrating is that you found out the jam is actually caused by the other side of the road.

That's the kind of attitude for a lot of Malaysian drivers. They tend to be busy-body when something happened. They like to rush to the scene for some reason, and that's when they simply stopped and parked their car anywhere regardless of the traffic and danger they are in at that moment of time.

Also drivers tend to slow down to have a look at what happen eventhough it's on the other side of the road. Few weeks ago I saw a few accidents happened within 300 meter space, which I believe first started on the other side of the road, where a car hit another car and also the barrier. Over this side one car driver I suppose was losing the concentration while looking on the accident happened the other side, hit the van in front, and right after on the left lane, a lorry was hitting another vehicle in front of him. Further down, there was a 4 cars pile up, which is causing a massive jam, and worst still is that it's all happened during the rainy day.

Hopefully these drivers would be more concern about road users safety than their own curiousity and make the road safer to drive and use.

Comment of Li Mao

Yesterday's comments from our ex-national badminton coach, Li Mao has expose yet again our sports governing body's inability to lead and guide the national players. What is said by Li may not be fully correct, but at least there are some truth in it I suppose.

First of all it would not be appropriate for Li Mao to comment on BAM's authority after leaving the camp for such long time. It would be unfair to judge BAM now as compare to few years back because there may be some improvement from the BAM managements side. But there must be some fact that leads to Li Mao's comment.

We all know all along that Misbun Sidek is the coach of independent body's single players. Yet he's been involving in all major tournament events all the time, and he is even given the authority to have some say in the decision making issues. For Li Mao, he was hired by BAM to be in charge of the single players, and if I was given a job which could be affected by some outsiders' decision, surely I would not be happy about it, which is the case of Li Mao I believe.

Secondly, since Li Mao's departure, BAM doesn't have a proper single coach to lead, and from what we see Misbun is always at any event's coaching area. I really wanted to know who's BAM single coach at the moment? I don't see BAM stands out to protect their single coach at all whatever happened. Who is this Misbun Sidek? Why is he so powerful that BAM has to give in to all his antics? No wonder Malaysia's badminton standard always stay where they belongs, and with such kind of thinking and mentality BAM will not excel further no matter who they hire as coach.

It is entirely different for the Doubles's coach. Rexy is given the free hand to do what he thinks is right and Rexy would not hesitate to speaks out what he think of his trainees. That's what Li Mao failed to do during his tenure with BAM, and now probably he's regretted it for not speaking out loud enough then, and also he's not given enough authority then. It is very obvious that during Li Mao's tenure as single coach, Misbun's appearance did unsettle all the players because he (Misbun) thinks he's all too important to the national team, and BAM is stupid enough to let such things boil over and causing the situation it is now.

One more thing I would want to say, but surely a lot of you might not agree with me, which is BAM did all they did simply because Li Mao is a NON-BUMI here, and Misbun is a god damn bumi. That's why

VK Lingam Case

Now the hearing for VK Lingam video clip case start, and the most important of all witness that giving his testification of the case also proved what he said is genuine, and also people involved in this case are all big shots in Malaysia political circle.

Question now is what will happen to these people involved? Will this case be like the murdered Altantunya case as well? How important is it the evidences produced will help in this case? To our worries I think is that people involved in this case is all too important to sanctioned them because it will cause a huge havoc in the political field.

Secondly if they are to be found guilty and what sort of sentences are they going to get for such case? Is there such case before that happened and also will evidence produced enough to pleaded them guilty? As for the large public I suppose very minority of us really understand the Malaysia's law and regulation, and what we see and read in papers may not be what is actually happened because media is partially controlled and there are too many things which journalist are not allow to write and published. So there may be some truth is being cover up and at the end this case will be treated as insufficient evidence and/or being dragged few years so most people will forget or couldn't be bother anymore.

So like all other major cases happened, we don't expect this case to be fully resolve in the near future, and also be prepare not to feel surprise if verdict is in the convicted's favour, which is the most likely scenario

CNY is coming

Chinese new year is looming nearer now. It's only 4 wks away but I notice the surrounding nowadays are much quieter than before. Is this a sign of economic slow down? Has the 'invinsible' inflation taken its toll and now that people are more calculative and careful with their spending?

Over the last 2 years, neccessary items for CNY is getting higher and price wise is keep increasing all the time. This scenario is in total different direction mentioned by our ministers that our economy is still good and that inflation rate is at its minimum and lowest rate.

Speech is baseless, and fact is there for all to see. As a smart consumer, we all know things are much different now as compare to previously, and that everyone also have their own tight budget. That is why we are now experiencing late late last minute rush to buy things for all festive seasons, not only CNY.

But what can we do? Prices keep on increasing yet salary increase rate will never catch up with the inflation rate, let alone higher

Maybank Customer Service

I have some 'Good' experience wanted to share with you.

Few months ago when I wanted to open a saving accounts at Maybank. I was first told I need to open at a branch nearest to my home address, which I can accept because of regulation from Bank Negara.

When I went to the nearest branch near my home, I was given an application form and told I need a photocopy of my IC front and back. I then handed my IC to the staff for copy. But the shocking moment is just about to start here!

I was told the photocopy machine is for staff and internal use only and that I need to get the copy of my IC elsewhere. This happened just before lunch hours, and obviously bank is packed with customers by now. So I asked upon completion of opening the account, I will take back the copy of my IC, but the staff told they need to keep the copy of my IC for internal used purposes.

To my surprise, this same brainless guy was contradicting his own statement by now. He told the photocopy machine is only for internal and staff used, so pressumably the copy of my IC will kept by me since it's not from their machine. I'm not stingy of calculative about the 10 cents paid for the IC copy, but in principle, the staff refuse to copy my IC using their machine means that the copy of IC is not internal used nor staff use, so it is rightful that I will take it back upon completion of account opening.

There were few people around me at that time who all heard this and few of them actually laugh out loud. I guess they just couldn't understand what the guy actually mean by "staff use and unternal use", and also they need to keep my copy of IC for internal use.

From this issue, I also notice that Maybank customer service is at a very lousy and poor state as compare to other banks. If not because of the need for business, I wouldn't even want to step into Maybank. There are plenty of other better banks out there and they provide a much better services than Maybank. Just like all other cases, if not because of the support from Malaysia government, Maybank would be bankrupt long time ago and sure there is no way they will survive in today's competative world of business.

IF you all too experience such good or bad services at Maybank, don't mind to share with us!

Installing of CCTV

Malaysia government has directed local authorities to install more CCTV in all the areas, especially crime-prone areas. But how effective will the installation of CCTVs be? Can the crime rate really falls if CCTVs are installed all around? We have heard enough of such things, and this method has been used and proven in a lot of countries. Why Malaysia now only starting to implement such act.

CCTV has helped so much of the crime cases around the world and with proper maintenance and monitoring, surely crime rate will falls and that police can act more effectively with the aid of CCTV and control centre. But here raise another issue. Is the CCTV well controlled and monitored when installed? How effective will the police forces be after such installation? And the most importantly is how much will this costs the government if CCTV are to be installed all around? (Glad it's not Samy Vellu's department that deciding this or else it may costs the government hundreds of millions to implement it)

I've seen enough of the efficiency of Malaysia police. I think with CCTV aid, crime rate will still be at where it is because CCTV alone will not put the robbers or criminals off. Only when cooperations from all involve parties and equipments take place will this be successful. Just imagine if instruction given out by control centre that crime case happen at an area, police force didn't act swiftly and reach the scene after long period of time, do you think police will have so much time to take the video footage back and zoom in to look for the suspect?

When suspect is in front of them policemen are unable to take action, let alone depending of the CCTV footage. So I think the major effort still need to start from police forces first before anymore additional aid is installed and put in operation. It will be just a waste of tax payers' money and time to install CCTV all over places, yet policemen are not carryout their suppose duty.

Co-Ed School Issue

It is shocking to hear that a Secondary Co-Ed school actually implemented a segregated boys and girls policy. Who on earth will implement such stupid rules, and who on earth that actually approve such disgusting rules?

Now finger pointing is all towards the mentioned school's headmaster. But is he really the person responsible for this? According to a teacher from the school, such rules were made compulsary at the end of last year's educational day, and implementation was carried out at the beginning of this educational year.

Maybe he/she was right that the headmaster insisted to such change of rules. But what if the headmaster receive an order to carryout such change, yet not telling the teacher or anyone in the school? Probably he's the scapegoat for such scandal, and there are someone trying their luck at such changes, if no objection implementation will be broaden to elsewhere.

Another issue with this is what kind of thinking and mindstate of such person to suggest this rule? We are in the 21st century and if boys and girls needed to be separated from every activities, why don't they impose it in company all around that offices should be divided into 2 for men and women, including all foodcourt, carpark etc.

In all I would only say the person who suggested this idea of segregated boys and girls is an old fashioned, stupid and non-exposure to outside world kind of person. He may be living in his 'wonderland' all his life and that has cause him with such thinking.

Port Klang Free Zone

It is ridiculous that PKFZ is now declared open for all people. What happened previously? They tried to sell these units to the highend person and foreign investor when they launched this shop houses.

Now that foreigners are reluctantly to continue investing in this country, and they are saying this PKFZ is open for all the local resident, which I feel is a sign of disrespectful. If foreign investor willing to buy, then they wil surely sell these units to foreigner since they could make a lot of money from foreigner than us Local.

So folks, be prepare u will only be a backup after all you've done for them. Always the case

Traffic around after school restarts

Traffic around town after school holiday is horrible. For the last 2 months, traffic was so smooth virtually to everywhere during morning hours, and we spent much less time in the journey to/from office.

Last week since school re-opens, I'd been stuck in jam everywhere from 6:00am+ till almost 9:00am. I just wonder why are there so much different during and after school holidays! One thing I did notice is that most parents opt to send their children to school themselve. With this there are a lot more vehicle flows around town. Imagine a housing area consist of 1000 household, half of them need to send their children to school, which mean 500 vehicles are on the road and that has caused much more jam for surrounding area. Government has been encouraging us to share the vehicle if going to the similar or same place. Why wouldn't these parents do it when they knew there are more students around the area who are attending the same school?

The answer is nowadays it's too dangerous to know who you actually picking and there might be someone make use of these child to commit crimes. So we could said overall it's the failure of authority that contributed to all these things indirectly since they failed to protect us from being victimised.

Another Corruption Case

Corruption has been part of Malaysia's culture I suppose. Virtually everything involving human can be settle by corruption and the most recent case heard is driving schools were corrupted and giving driving licence to unattended students.

Accident rate in Malaysia is already one of the highest in the world considering how tiny and small our country compare to all around the world, yet the accident rate is so much higher until an unbelievable level.

I guess one of the reason must be too many drivers out there are not qualify and/or their licences are either bought or being passed by offered money to the examinors. I think this quote is almost, if not 100% true, as we can see in our everyday life that so many Moron drivers out there trying all sort of stunts and driving recklessly that endangering other road users.

Another issue raised from this is that a lot of people are modifying their cars to make it 'sound' like a fast and furious car, which in actual is just a pathetic small little junk (Sorry to used that word but I'd been hogging by these idiots for long enough) and it's made a hell lot of noise to the surroundings.

Now that authority had burst another corruption case and it will be an added task to the already busy ACA. I'm not sure as to how ACA will cope with their workload, and can they rest assure us that this case will be look into seriously and solve quickest possible before many more innocent road users are being the victims of these bunch of idiots.

Proton BLM Advertisment

When Proton launched the Persona model, it make the advert looks so misterious. People were wondering what kind of design will it look like? How the car has changed from its predesessor?

Now that Proton has came out with a replacement model, called BLM. From the last two days I could only read something about the car's advert, but not seeing anything. They (Proton) claimed this car is fitted with a brand new design engine, which only show the engine block on newspaper. Today they only show the platform of the car, which created another mistery for the public. I'm not so sure what I will be seeing tomorrow about this BLM thingy.

I find it funny when they made such advertisment. I kjust wonder who design this advert and how on earth do they expect us to believe in their product when they have no confident in showing the BLM to public. Also they created such a big mistery for onlookers to guess how this car actually looks like? How big this car really is? What sort of interior design is this car, and more importantly is this car really that ugly until they can only be shown upon or after its launching

These advert will only make me thing this car is not worth buying because they has no confident in their own product

Chua Soi Lek Case

Now that the Sexual DVD case involving Dr Chua Soi Lek is over, we should just let this issue settle and life moves on. Whether Dr Chua has done anything wrong is beyond our judgement, and if Dr Chua choose not to disclose the truth, we will never find the truth about the story.

One thing worth mentioned from this case is that our private life is now being intruded seriously by some unknown, and the unfortunate thing is Dr Chua is a well known person in town so once it's discovered about the DVD, he's either deny it all the way or he choose to admit it. He finally choose to admitted it and asked for forgiveness from everyone, but his gamble doesn't go his way, and he was forced to resign.

Now my point here is not debating about whether Dr Chua is right or wrong. I wanted to ask is he rightfully to resign from all his political roles, or is he being forced to resign by this scandal? Everyone has a different view on this issue and according to hints, it looks more like Dr Chua is being set up and it's his 'stupidness' that costs him his political future.

Now that he has resigned, and yet other parties still would not let him go peacefully. Forensic team was brought to the hotel to carryout search for....erm what? I'm not sure what's suppose to be search in the hotel room ande is there anything that will bring this a case to court.

I believe everyone should have their private life, including politician up to the country's leader. From this case it shows that Dr Chua's private life has been exposed and it will be unfair for everyone to judge him as a person from this case. Over the years he has done so much to the society and community, and no one recognise that, and when this thing exploded, he suddenly become a sinner of it. We should respect other's private life, and he has his own private life. No one has ever have any rights to take away another's privacy.

Secondly, we should judge Dr Chua Soi Lek as a person base on what he has done, what he has achieve, and how his work efficiency base on results, and what happened can be judge by one of the mentioned, so it will be unfair to say Dr Chua Soi Lek is a bad politician. He is a good politician, a good leader, but with some bad off field behaviour and irresponsible to his family. These are two different issue we are talking about and it is absolutely wrong to sums up Dr Chua is a bad leader!

As for Dr Chua, you are already resigned and you should move on with your life, now going around town to wish thank you to all your supporters, which act will only fuel up the public's emotion into believe that he was forced out of the party and position. Things shall be calmed down and life moves on for everybody. If Dr Chua persisting in visiting here and there to hint everyone something, I'm afraid at the end he will end up losing everything, including the family and friends, and more importantly his good image and reputation. He should be more concern on how to bring back his family together and not to go around giving speech.

Another setback for Liverpool

Before x-mas, Rafael Benitex keep mentioned Liverpool is still in the hunt for EPL crown with only 7 point adrift of the leader if they win their game in hand. Now barely 3 days into 2008, and a full 5 1/2 months before season end, I think Liverpool is now almost certainly out of the title race.

Last nite they managed only a draw with Wigan, and they are now further behind in points total after the other 3 power house, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea all won their respective match. Worse still is Man City has taken over Liverpool into forth place, which represented the last champions' league qualification.

With their season started to falling apart (As it looks like), probably we will be able to see Rafael walking down the tunnel alone quicker than expected. Following a critical meeting with their American co-owner, he was given the full backing of the owner provided they are still in hunt for EPL crown and FA cup at least.

Like I said before, in order for Liverpool to overcome their EPL crown barren run, they need only to do 1 thing, which is changing the coach or Manager as called. So for all Liverpool fans, it will be wiser if you could just forget about this season and plan for the next.

Malaysia Share Market

Not sure how many of blogger here actually bother about the share market. Still I would like to ask for your opinion regarding Malaysia's share market.

Has it reach its peak? From analyst's report, our index will hit 1,500 somewhere in 2008, and if this is the case, is there really any room for that to happen? Which one of the share you think is worth keep an eye on, or even stocking it? If there really room for index to raise to that mark, when is the most possible time?

Hope to get some feedback from you

What's actually happened to Chua Soi Lek?

Just for purely discussion and personal opinion. What's happened to Chua Soi Lek? How can he being caught in such scam? Is he being framed or he's asking it himself? All questions asked above might not have the true answer unless the person tell himself what's actually happened.

As Health Minister of the country, Chua should be more careful with his public image and more so what he's doing because all politicians' behavious is under everyone's eyes whether intentionally or unintentionally. Maybe he is unfortunate to be caught in such scam and that he has no choice but to step down whatever the public think of him, good or bad. Even Bill Clinton couldn't escape the wrath when his affair with Monica Lewinski erupted then, and to make matter worse, Malaysia is a Muslim country and this thing should not be happened to a person as Chua's status.

So question now is whether Chua did it with his knowledge of the camera's existence? Has someone trying to force him stepping down? Has he upsetting people that he has no escape route but to step down respectfully or like the way he did it? Whatever the reason it may be, being caught in the video cam recording of such act, I would say he deserve what he received and I do sympatise him a lot because it will be a big lost to MCA and all chinese community. Chua SL is such a good leader and outspoken with facts and proves, but all his reputation built since taking over from the previous Chua, Jui Meng were dashed by this incident and there will be no way back for him ....... for the forseeble future at least.

So let's get on with life and let what happened happen, and if the person involved would like to tell the truth, then we will listen, or else just move on with our respective life.

Just my 2 cents opinion
