New EPL Season!

EPL finally gets underway the new season. Can't wait for all teams to take the fields week in week out because there's such a huge excitements about EPL because you will never know what's going to happen!

Apparently it is still the EPL 'Fab-Four' that's donminating the headlines. Be it win or lose, they will always be the names that shown on headlines. Man U, the team I supported doesn't seem to be as strong as they should be. Chelsea is better than lastyear at the moment. Arsenal is a huge surprise for a lot of them after the departure of King Henry, and the most improved team among all of them, Liverpool does look stronger than ever.

Currently the team to beat is definitely Loverpool after their strong start to the season. Especially Fernando Torres, he does prove to be a better signing than another Fernando 2-3 years back. There are other new signings as well which perform exceptionally well at curernt stage. Whether they can sustain this kind of form throughout the season is still to be seen, but I do have to admit that current Cops is the strongest for the last decade.

Chelsea as usual since the taking over of Roman. With huge depth in their bank account reserve, they can buy anyone they wish. But problem is whether they can field more than 11 players is another issue. On paper, Chelsea is definitely a strong contender for the EPL crown. But at this early stage of the campaign, they are down with a lot of injuries, which may hampered their season. But thy are still looking very strong even with such long injury list.

Arsenal, The Gunners, is the surprise of all. Just when everyone expect them to fall behind the other 3 big teams, they make you eat your words. So far they get the results they want and their performance is good, consistance and organised. Cesc Fabregas, Van Persie and co. has adapted to life without Henry particularly because Henry has been missing from the team quite regularly last term and that makes them play well without the record scorer. Now that Henry left, they are used to the situation and now there will be no 'superstar' in the team, they will perform better because everyone will want to fill in that role. Another factor is the old master, Arsene Wenger. He is a genius of sporting youngster, and this time he is proven right again. Players he signed during closed season proving to be success (up todate) and I believe there will be more to come from this young gunners.

Among all, the most dissapointed must be my team, the Red Devils. They acted quickest durig closed season by signing 3 players, which on paper is very exciting, skillful and entertaining. Then came the Tevez saga, which they finally got their man. But just few games into the season, their performance is a let down by means of all devils' fans. Maybe they need time to gel - as told by the gaffer, but look at others, they can play alongside each other even they are new to the team. Or maybe another factor is the Red Devils are too high profile about their signing and that makes all their opponent to use the same tactic - 10 man defensive against them. So they must try new tactics to break through this barrier if they are to succeed in retaining the EPL crown. Another factor is most players in Man Utd are shorter now comparing to previous 2-3 yrs. They need a tall, strong central forward like Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Louis Saha to get advantage of the defenders marking them.

EPL is different froom any other major leagues in Europe. Pace in EPL is a lot higher than those of Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A. A strong and tall forward will get higher chances of scoring than those short and skillful players. By saying that, we cannot discard this devils as they have been in such scenario too many times to know what to do. On all other EPL teams, their strength have improved and strengthen as well. As we can see for the last 3 wks, any team can beat the other regardless of their position in league, reputation and financial status. This is good for the league and for the viewers

I can't wait for this season to get going and I believe this year's EPL will be the most exciting, fabolous, strong and closer fight between all teams. Of course I would love to see the Devils lift the title again, but excitement throughout the season is more important.
