Axe Falling On Coaches in BAM

BAM top management has issued warning to all the coaching staff that if Malaysia team cannot deliver this coming campaign, all coaches should be held full responsible for the failure.

I wonder how BAM top management people would come to this idea. We already have a top and world class coaching staff, and we used to have top coaches from all around the world, but still our players were unable to deliver. This is a very unfair statement to the current coaching team, and it's very irresponsible from BAM itself.

Why don't this BAM president, or whoever the top management staff be held responsible if Malaysia fail to win this year's Thomas Cup? They are the one who decide all almost everything within BAM and they are the one who appointed these coaches. So if coaches fail to deliver, top management should be responsible for getting the wrong coaches as well, agree?

Secondly, our players have been given all the best available coaches and facilities, yet they cannot perform to expectation, which is a shame on themselve. There have been some promising youngsters coming through to the National team, yet they are not given the opportunity to compete in international tournaments, which will be a better training to players, compare to just long term closed door training in Bukit Jalil.

How do you expect a caged protected players to perform in international level when players from all round the world having a different kind of ball games. Our coaching team can only give them the fitness, skill training, but they will not be able to be their sparing partner because everyone is different.

All in all, BAM is the biggest failure, not the coaching team. If these coaches are being sacked for failure in Thomas Cup, I don't think anyone in the world can bring this team forward anymore. Our players have been given the best facilities and too good for them to fight for themselve. This must change or else we will only be the almost team forever.....
