What happen to Man Utd? Probably they are too sad about what happen 50 yrs ago that they can't concentrate on their game. Probably the jersey they wear just not comfortable at all that all players felt funny during the game. Maybe it is suppose to be a sad day for all the devils' fans.
Whatever it is, I think Man Utd isn't consistent enough to win the EPL this year judging by what is going thru the team for the last 2 - 3 weeks. First they barely scrapped thru to get a draw against in-form Spurs. They now suffer their first home defeat this campaign and to add insult to injury, they lost to their bitter city rival, who had done a double over them this term.
Maybe they depends too much on Ronaldo and Rooney. Maybe Paul Scholes has upset the team balance thus far this season. Maybe players still get jet leg from the trip to Saudi weeks ago. All kind of synthom shows Man Utd is currently going through a rough patch and it is the best time for their rivals to take advantage to make up ground on them or pulling away from them.
I, as a Man Utd fan, do not want this to happen, but it did happen. From my observation, the current dip in form started when Paul Scholes is put back into the team straightaway after his long lay-off. No disrespect to Paul, he's a great player and any team would love to have him in their team, but being out of the game for 5 months, he is losing his fluent passing and movement and worse is he lacks the understanding that others have forged during his absent.
For this Sir Alex is stubborn enough to take a gamble, which now back fire on him. From the games Paul played, he's way off the pace for now. I think Andersson and Carrick or Hargreaves would form a better central midfield with Giggs and Ronaldo as widemen to support Tevez and Rooney up front would be the best bet for Man Utd to get back on track their slick, quick and efficient counter attacking style of play.
