Reviewing of 2007

Here gone year 2007 and there are many ups and downs during the difficult 365 days. Do anyone would want to share what's been the ups and downs over the past 12 months, please post them here. What's the most noted things happened during the past year?

1. One of the big entertainment news is Paris Hilton being jailed and released, then back again into cell for 23 odd days.

2. World largest passenger plane Airbus A380 finally handed over its 1st plane to their customer, Singapore Airline and its debut flight to Sydney using that plane. Another milestone for aviation industries

3. The murder of Ex-Pakistani leader, Benazir during a suicide attack

4. Police being attacked by Mat Rempits one after another - these yobs are taking the laws into their own hands, action is required urgently to curb this down

5. Murder of Mongolian girl case, which speculated to be involving one of Malaysia's top leader

6. Corruption cases one after another, of which all are still under investigation. Probably all the outcomes of investigations will be known before 2020, our proud vision by ex-PM (Stil have plenty of time for investigation though)

7. Turnaround of MAS from losing RM 600 mil to earning of RM200 mil or so. How true is this??? I always have a doubt in this case, but just don't know how to express it!

8. Proton claimed they finally can survive without foreign partner by introducing a new BLM. To me this is biggest joke of the year. Just refer to Rover in UK how they are doing after similar situation.

9. The selling of MV Agusta to foreign investor for only EURO 1.00, which is meant to be making money rather than losing. It was purchased for millions of ringgits and by selling at EURO 1.00, it is making money. (How can this make sense?) Upon selling to foreign investor, they in turn sold the same to a 3rd party for a whopping EURO 4,000,000.00 plus. So I really doubt the person who made that statement

10. Street demonstration. This is a surprise, up to certain extend, but bound to happened if our Bumi government keeps doing things they are doing now, and may be more to come. Just like time bomb now

11. Malaysia won a record high 68 Gold medals in Korat Sea Games 2007. It's a good achievement, and hopefully athletes will keep on fighting and improving themselve to bring more glory to Malaysia, not stay where it ends.

12. New found hero in Badminton - Koo Kean Kiat and Tan Booh Heong who defy odds to win Asiad Games at Doha, and also most notably ended Malaysia's wait of men's double gold medal in All England Championship

13. Two coward ministers in the cabinet, Hishammudin and Nazri. Seen some video clips and comments from them. They acted more like gangster than a civilised minister. Hope they will be oust during next GE

14....

Many more... hope you guys can continue the list on and on to keep as memory and reminder

Happy 2008

Gone 2007 and here it comes 2008. Celebration everywhere last nite and with so many promises made during celebration too.

Just hope our country will clean up all its acts and restore the peaceful and harmony society we once enjoyed. Do not ruin it or else it will be another 50 yrs before we will get back those life again :)

Country Goes Bankrupt....

Yesterday's one of the minister said Malaysia will go burst if the government is to lowering the fuel prices by subsidering more into fuel.

This is true that our government has been paying billions of Ringgits to subsidise fuel prices towards consumers. We truely appreciate what the government has been doing in attempt of trying not to burder our already sky-high living and inflation costs.

But wouldn't the country go burst if all the government officers keeps corrupted and millions of billions of ringgits were gone into unknown as well? If lowering fuel price will make country go burst, then corruption is even worst than that. At least we would know why government bankrupt rather than spending money into unknowns like spending RM 20 mil just to carryout survey on Parliment house roof structure, RM 90 mil to just renovated parliment house, whose durability only last for 2 - 3 year without touching roof area, and then pray for not raining heavily regularly, millions of millions into repairing MRR2, buying most modern and hi-tech equipment, which is hardly used etc etc......

Isn't that worse than paying higher subsidy for fuel? Over the years surely there were billions of ringgits had gone dissapeared, and yet no one have ever asked because it's all done within themselve. So if they don't ask, others cannot ask. Otherwise you are against the government's policy and that ISA will be waiting for you!

Is it true? Give your comment

Police On The Bike!

Today as I was coming back from office on one of the packed and jammed road in KL city, I noticed a siren sound, which turn out to be a policeman on the bike urging motorists to give way to one of the Orang Besar.

The first thing went thru my mind is that: Who the hell is that needing a police escort to break free the traffic to allow his stupid car to pass by? At that time, the traffic was grid lock and there have hardly any space to move, let alone to give way to the policeman. So no one really care, and guess what happen next, the police went over each car started staring and scolding at them urging them to give way.

To me this is a very rude and "Kurang Ajar" act. When I was in UK, even the PM (Tony Blair then) need to go thru traffic just like other ordinary people when traffic is jam, unless there's an important function going on, which don't happen often in UK. Plans will be set out and 1-2 days prior to the event, the access road will normally be prepared for these VIPs to pass by.

So it is a very embarassing act that some "Important VIP" had misuse of their power to such extend they don't care for other motorists who'd been stuck in traffics for long, and for their own convenient sake, they sacrifices other motorists' safety and rights to use the road.

So hopefully government will change such law (in which they are best at) that no special VIP will be given previlage for road usage. And Government should allow those who capture traffic offencer.

PMR Result Published

Another year, another PMR exam result published, another record number of people obtained straight 'A's, another year of excellent etc...

This has become a trend that people just don't care about the quality, but only focus on number of 'A's obtained. Does it really matter how many 'A's you scored regardless of whether you really learnt something? Does it mean you will have a bright future by obtaining all 'A's in PMR exams? Does this guarantee all top students get what they prefer in the future in university and courses selection? Answer is not really.

Nowadays it has become a common trend that people ask "How many 'A's you have? In our year of studies, we will asked the other "What's your aggregate?" In short it may look another similar question, but the real meaning of measure by aggregate is that aggregate did reflex on how your overall performance are and as to how much you really know from your studies that you could apply into the exams. Now it's going the other way round just because result compare to previous year is getting worse and the only solution is by changing the system to a more simpler, easier and more straight forward exams so that more student would be able to pass the exams with flying colour.

If I were to interview a potential staff, I would not care if he get all 'A's in the PMR or SPM but will judge on the general matter, which it is almost impossible to learn from text book, and you need to be smart and alert enough to know all these. And most importantly is how a person handle different situations. In school there won't be anyone teaching such classes, and that it will not require to apply to school students. Life outside school is a lot more than just text book.

Another issue is that by teaching science and maths in English, what's the fuss is all about regarding this? Can they guarantee that teaching in BM will be better off by teaching in English? Maybe they'd hired too many incompetent teachers to teach such subject in a different language that is causing the drop in standard.

So if our government still insisting on the current system, I'm afraid one day our education system will be with those back-makers. We will not move forward, but only move backwards the education system, and our once proud educational system wil have to start all over again from scratch and develop into a highly recognise systems.

Murder of Benazir Vs Street Demos

It is shocking that former Pakistani leader, Benazir Bhutto was killed by a suitside attacker. Two months ago she narroly escape being killed upon her return from her 8 year exile., but now she was right in the thick of it, being shot and murdered

Comparing this to our very own demonstration, here people are just trying to voice their dissatisfaction and yet they were being treated worse than a murderer. Look at few of our neighbouring country like Thailand, Indonesia, Philipine, Myanmar etc,all these country are at political unrest at all time, and it has caused their country at an full alert situation all the time.

So by seeing what has happened around, hope our government can realise how lucky they are in managing this multi-racial country, and fortunately nothing happen up until now. Situation may not be the same should they continue doing what they are doing now, and we may possibly facing the similar situation when things get out of control

Hishamuddin The Dictator

The comments made by Hishamuddin on other party has shows that this bloke is a coward and dictatorship minded person. Can we trust his capability as an Educational Minister role? The way he made the comment sounds like he is ordering Dr Khor to sack the deputy who made disgrace but truthful comment.

No doubt what has been said by the deputy is incorrect, and I'm sure he will face the displinary action by the party, but act like Hishamuddin is just outrages, and he did it like a gangster style, coward style, and he looks more like an asshole, rather than educational minister.

If our education system is lead by such stupid minister i'm afraid our younger generations wil follow suit what the minister is doing, and this could lead to more society problem in future. No wonder crime rates is growing higher year by year because of such idiot minister plus our sports minister, Azalina who is another same kind of creature.

Hope they would disappear from the cabinet after the next election

Comment on I am Legend

After watching the movie "I am Legend", it is quite a dissapointment to me. From advert and preview, it has been made to impress and thinking that it is such an exciting movie to be watched. After watching it, it is kind of boring towards the ending, and that I have the impression that the director just want to conclude the movie soonest possible, and Will Smith just has to detonated the bomb and all infected devils will be death with him. Comparing to The National Treasure 2 I watch yesterday, it is a much nicer and exciting and attactive movie. There is no bore scene from the beginning till the end, and in between there include some comedy and hillarious scene together. After watching these 2, I would prefer the National Treasure 2 than I am Legend

China Manufactured Passenger Aircraft

China have produced their own passenger aircarft and it has successfully launched in Shanghai recently. In a way it is good that China has the ability to manufacture and produce their own aircraft, and it has given the world another options to think of when ordering passenger aircraft.

How fast China has growth over the last 10 years or so is there proven and seen by all of us. They have no doubt become an important leader of world economy and their wealthiness is affecting the world's as well.

By saying that, we have also heard a lot about the quality of china-made products. How good they really are and is there really any Quality Control of their product? Are they invented the parts themselve or they are copying from others? Have they pass the International Aviation Association's regulation for safety? Are they complying with their regulation in manufacturing the aircraft?

We may have heard too many of such story that design were copied, products being duplicated and cloned etc. Thus we tends to have a thinking that China products are mostly sub-standard. All these are questions we will all asked. It may be unfair to put such comment on their products, as there may be tons good and excellent products from China being sold either locally in China or export to worldwide. Unfortunately there tends to be a minority who always take advantages of such situation and trying to conned their way through.

Of the aircraft they produced, I would say it is a big step forward for China, and it may be good for the industry's competition, that has been monopolised by Boeng and Air Bus. But one thing still concern me most is the safety of the plane. As we know, aircraft safety is the most important issue to be address among all others, and hopefully it has comply to all the international regulation standard. In saying so, I would still prefer to take air craft from US or Europe for the time being until this Chinese made aircraft is fully tested and proven.

Causes of Flooding in East coast and Johor

What's been the causes of flooding in east coast Malaysia and Johor? Last year it was bad enough that few cities in Johor were flooded and thousands of people needed to be evacuated to a higher and safer place for weeks. Properties, personal belongings and many others were washed away and lost during and after the floods.

This has never happen before and only recent years that situation is getting worse. I guess from now on, those places experience flood during year end monsoon season will start to worry about their properties comes year end. They will probably have to look for places to start moving so they would not suffer this year after year.

Why would this happen now more often than before? Is this the effect of global warming and the rise in sea level? Where are those excess water coming from? Or is it our drainage system partly to be blame for causing the flood? Places affected by flood are mainly located at the mountain footing or near rivers, and this may explain the our drainage system may be one of the reason causing such flood.

I remember looking at news last year that river cutting across Segamat town was overflowed and the water flowing out of the river is insufficient, despite the river is so wide and deep. Also the whole town was flooded till the roof top of the shop houses.

In such situation, the rescuers reaction to this was very slow, and it looks like they don't know what to do in such situation, and they probably didn't expect such things to happen in their area. That sums it up why they reacted so slowly to it and comparing this year, they are much faster since they have a hands on experience about it. So do give credits to the rescuers on this account.

I hope this scenario of flooding would not happen so badly next year, and hope everyone could do something to minimise, if not stop the global warming.

Country moving backwards under Badawi

It's been more than 4 years since Abdullah Badawi became PM of Malaysia. During these 4 years, have Malaysia progressed forward under him? Have his promises being materialised? Do we still remember what his promises were? How much has the government done for the nations during these 4 difficult years?

From what I can see, our country's situation only get backwards, and still going further backwards today. I remembered the first promise of Pak Lah when he stepped up into the PM office, where he said of his priority in fighting against corruption, and also treating all nations equally and fairly, and developing the country further in continuation to what Dr. M had done thus far.

When we, all Malaysian heard that his first priority is to clean up the government image of badly corrupted, we were so happy and we were thinking that finally Dr. M regime will be faded away, and Malaysia will have a new image under a new leader, and with a new vision and aims. We all were so eagerly awaiting for all these to happened, and sadly to say, 4 years on and all these remains talk only.

What we've seen today is disasters one after another, corruptions cases after cases involving all the well known MPs, high profiles murder case, building collapses, mat rempits outragous behavious getting worse, robbery and rape cases almost every now and then, demonstrations and many many more which is endless in my mind.

So what has he done for our country so far? Has he contribute any goods to us till today? Has he really do what he meant by cleaning up the image? Or situation getting worse under his regime? All we can see is Abdullah Badawi is so powerless in controlling this government and all his ministers, including those "Small Potatoes" ministers. People can say and/or do what they like, and for one thing that is sure is they will not face any sanction even if found guilty, but actions will be taken against those who questioned.

So this is what he called fair treatment, and cleaning of government image. Probably we all were being too smart in presuming that Badawi is cleaning up the government image by getting rid of those corrupted. Maybe his way of cleaning image is to restricted citizens from questioning. Hence "No question, no issue. Question asked, go to jail"

Can horse bite?

News this morning shows that horse actually can bite. A boy in Penang was bitten by a horse during an exhibition when he was climbing down from the horse ridden.

Strangely enough this is my first time hearing such news. I remember went to Bkt Cahaya last month with friends and actually horse's teeth are not sharp, and moreover horses should be smooth type animals. We've heard a lot about dogs biting passer-by, pedastrians, tigers or lions biting people, but how on earth can a horse bite? This remind me of the movie "Black Sheep" where sheep can kill after being cloned.

Hope this is just a one off incident and no more such news appear, otherwise we, human beings shall start worrying since we do not know which animals going to attack human.

Company Policy During Working Hours

I wonder what's the actual company policy during working hours? Are employees forbidden to talk to personal friends or issues during working hours? Is it against general rules and regulation of company if talking to personal friends?

Those who know could you kindly advise if this is correct. When I went back to ex-company, the ex-director told that he seen me picking up phone from personal friends during working hours, and that I was seen doing some personal banking issues during working hours. What really gets to my nerve is that I was told I not suppose to talk anything personal during our way to site for meetings or inspections.

At first I was quite mad about such comment, but after few seconds, I think this is the most outragous and hilarious thing that could happen to me and worse I heard it from a company's director. So anyone outthere could help explain the rules. Thanks

Will Arrest Calm Things Down?

ISA had begins their act to arrest those involved in the recent assemblies. But will the arrest really calm things down? Will the demonstrator be hold back after arrest?

Maybe they will, but to certain extend this arrest will surely infuriated the demonstrators, as the arrest is unjustify and it's like an act of coward, communisms. Arrest without evident, and could be jailed up to 5 years. This is rather like cowboy style of act by arresting whoever is suspicious of involving in the assemblies and marchings without clear evident against them, and in the hope that by doing so others will be restrain in doing so.

Other demonstrators sure will not want to end up in jail, but at the same time, they are just like another time bomb on the run, and who knows what they will do and act in near future, and what make it worse is that there may be turn into some kind of unneccessary violent or riot acts everywhere.

These people are just demanding for a clean and fair elections, wanted to voice their opinion, let the authority know what they felt of, but all these were taken away and being deem as an act of disloyalty, inpatriotic to country, betryal of country etc.

If ISA persist on doing so I'm afraid things might turn from bad to worse, and also it could be seen as planted time bomb all around. When things get out of control, I couldn't imagine what will happen. Just wait and see

Football Hooligans!

English football was well known for its hooliganisms before, and until now it is still there to be exploded., but English authoritis have done a significant job in clamping down on the coward act over the last 10 years or so, and that not much such scene happened. UEFA acted by banning English clubs from Europe elite competitions for years. It took the English authorities to clean up the acts before ban is lifted due to these hooliganisms act by the so call passionate football fans.

Now the same scenario has turned to Italy, where we can hear football hooliganisms act or football fans rioting everywhere on and off, in some cases even lifes were claimed due to these rioting. Matches banned, cancelled, resheduled, played behind closed door etc. All these shows that footbal fans violent has turned into Italy nowadays, and yet UEFA has done nothing against them. Teams from country involving football voilence should be banned like English clubs suffered.

Whenever there's a football fan violence involving English teams, it's always the English fans' fault for causing the rioting at first instance before investigation being carryout, simply because of their history. All these are unfair to an English clubs, and from the few recent incidents it is clear that English fans were provoked by others, and even being attacked by rival's fans, yet blames always lie with English, just because they are English. It is so unfair to English fans

Few years back few Leeds Utd fans were stabbed and one were death. Man Utd fans were batton charged by Rome police even they were provoked by home fans, Middlesbrough fans were being attacked by Rome fans, and subsequently Rome police, and many more cases where English football fans were attacked during their away games. Nobody wanted to be hurt during their away trip, and certainly they just wanted to watch and support their team all they way, yet they were provoked and insufficient protection is given to those who travelled.

Hopefully UEFA will seriously look into these problems, and act appropriately to those who is suppose to be responsible for their act, not judge by the history of the clubs. If Italian teams were found guilty of such, they should be sanctioned and banned from UEFA competitions as punishment, where English clubs suffered. This will also stamp the authority that UEFA did take this seriously, and also before football voilence hamper the entertainment of football and damage the beautiful game's reputation as the widest followers' game on planet

Tian Chua's arrest!

Is the police right to arrest Tian Chua the way it showed on video clip? What has he done wrong to deserve the arrest like the way he did? I think police force is over stepping the line and started a war against peace and harmony.

From the video clip viewed, Tian Chua has done nothing, but sitting inside the car driven by his driver or friend, and he did nothing more than heading towards Parliment house. Is that deserve to be arrested? Is there any law prevented a politician entering parliment house?

Surely I think police is making use of the chance to try showing what they intent to do should the street demonstrators started marching towards parliment house. And worse is Tian Chua was pulled out from his car and being hand carried into a police car, when he did nothing more than speaking and answering to police's question. Also police do not obtain any sort of warrant to arrest Tian Chua, as well as anybody around the area.

Some policemen even try to prevent reporters from taking photograph, and pushing reporters away so no photo could be taken and no evidence will be published against them. I think these policemen not only thirsty at times, but they like acting cowardly in public so that thief and/or robbers will be afraid of them

Will Liverpool qualify?

Can Liverpool qualify to the knock-out stage of champions league? Has they got what it takes to qualify? Can they get the needed result in France to qualify? I would love them to qualify, but afraid The Cops need to wait for another year.

For once I believe Liverpool do have the credential to challenge for not only cups, but also EPL this year. On paper they probably have the most complete and significant teams around. They have the formidable back line, dependable midfielders in attacking as well as defending, and most impress is their attacking lines, where Fernando Torres and Peter Crouch, to me is the most dangerous partnership in EPL. Personally I am a Red Devils fan, but do like the combinations of the current Cops.

But after more than 3 months into the new season, I am still not convince that Liverpool will challenge for the EPL. They probably will be a very good cup team where matches are play one off. In league, they just have not got that piece of skill to sustain their form throughout the year.

Another factor is I don't think Rafael Benitez is the right man to lead Liverpool to EPL title. He's a good coach, but not good enough for EPL challenge. He likes thinkering with the team and from the past 3 years it shows that his tactic just do not work well.

In my personal view, in order for Liverpool to end the League title barrel run, there's only one thing they need to do, and almost guarantee the league title will go back to Anfield at least once, which is to sack Rafael Benitez and hire Fabio Capello. The Italian is a proven league championship quality. For all the team he leads, all won at least once the league title during his tenure there, and I would love to see him in EPL, should he not being approach by English FA or he turned down the offer, so we will see the best ever EPL challenge between Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool, probably Chelsea as well.

Driving in KL

I've been driving in KL city for years, and one thing I always found is that the road condition in the KL city is terrible. You could find all sort of uneven surfaces everywhere, and worst is there are holes all around, and you are risking damaging your vehicles driving inside KL city.

It is suppose all the road surfaces to be smooth and evenly laid, but everytime after a road surface is relaid, there are some drainage covers along the road which shall be raise up to the same level and casting of concrete. But to our surprise, DBKL doesn't even know how to make good of such things they just leave the cover as its original level. So everytime when driving pass these covers, we will experience a huge bump into the hole.

What if our vehicle is damaged because of this? Can we claim DBKL for damages and repair costs? Will they admit their fault? Whose responsibility is it to make sure road surface are done up to international standard?

Months ago DBKL chief is suggesting to incurred the congestion charge for vehicle drive into city centre, but yet they are not improving their services. For me if DBKL can guarantee the quality of public services, I don't mind to pay for the congestion charges, just like London. But before anything, DBKL would have to make sure all are in place and well organised, and that public services is well and truely improved before talking about congestion charge.

Otherwise it will only become another money printing machine to them and we, the civilians will still be suffering and there will never be any improvement if payment being made up front

Is Abdullah Ahmad Badawi Tough Enough?

Malaysia's PM said he will get tough when necessary. Is this true? Or has this happen when it really needed? From day one he step onto PM post, he gave the public the impression that he's a clean PM, and that he will get rid of those corrupted ministers, public servant, or anyone who caught involve in corruptions.

Now few years on and have we really see any action? Yes there were a few, but all ended with the same result - Insufficient evident and that suspects were cleared off the criminals. Most notably the Datuk Z and Eric Chia cases.

Now he is getting mad about the Hindraf act to stage street demonstrations. He warned those demonstrator they will face prosecution should they carryon the street assembly. Just wonder on what ground the government wanted to charge them with? Have they committed a more serious crime than those involved in corruptions? Have they killed or murdered anyone that they deserved such treatment? Is their act more damaging than trafficking drugs? Will they cause public unrest if they are staging a peaceful walk along the main road?

For one thing I know is that our government is doing everything they could to try to contain this being out of control, and that it is view as more serious crime than those mentioned above. Surely there are some hidden agenda which public will not know. But from the way Abdullah is handling this situation shows his incapability and also he is treating all Malaysian as stupid person. He has made too much empty promises which today his word is worthless and that people will not listening to him anymore.

All these while he's protecting those corrupted minister and murderer, and he's talking to act tough against such soft spoken, well educated lawyers and opposition parties' leaders. From this we will know they are now afraid to lose the few seats at certain area to opposition parties, and that they are making use of this chance to try to make certain creditable people/candidates ineligible for the next election.

It is not right to stage such public demostration as it will jeopadise our reputation and also causing unrest in our communities. But for everything that's happened, surely there're some reason behind it. Is these caused by our government's biasness? Or is this being fuelled by some hidden person, that's trying to unrest our country. What I am saying is it suppose to be a minor case, where certain community is trying to pass a message to our government. But probably for someone who is outside this country is taking chance to cause some unrest in this country, and that they are making it such a big issue, and start fuelling the rumous around, then they retreating themselve from the scene.

Maybe that's the root cause of all these. We hope our nations will be calm and smart enough to handle such situation. Let's not get affected by outsiders, as this will do a lot more harm than we can see, and we will put our country's reputation to shame should this situation not carefully look into.

CCTV for all houses

Last week I read a news that KL Chief police is suggesting that all house owners/tenants to install a CCTV for their house for security reason as well as to assist police to catch the robbers or thiefs. This sound so damn ridiculous and stupid, considering it had came out from the mouth of the chief police of KL.

If as he suggested, all houses should install CCTV to help police to break the robbery cases, then what's the purpose of hiring them in the first place? Aren't police suppose to make safe our society and carryout their duty as a police forces to ensure peaceful and harmony living. What on earth that makes him said such thing to reporters, and to me it looks like they are shredding off their responsibility as a police and shifted the responsibility to the owners themselve.

Another question is: Can the police forces be dependable even if CCTV is installed at all houses? Will the policemen really putting effort in to solve all these crime cases? I think this suggestion is just to partially shifting the blames of crimes into the public and to lighten and shredd off some responsibility from the police forces. It will also then enable them to have more time for coffee and tea break at wish. If any case without CCTV, they will just put in a file and come a reply "Sorry no CCTV, it will take time to trace"

So can we still depend on policemen to safeguard us in the future? what if our properties are broken in? Will the policemen just say it's beyond their ability because we do not install CCTV in our premises? We snatch and run, robbery or even street offences happened policemen can just tell the public there's nothing much they could do because there isn't CCTV around? All these only show one thing about our policemen - They are a bunch of incapable and incompetent forces that is waasting too much of our tax payers money, government resources, and also the nature resources. They should just find a deep hole and hide themselve in it forever.

Of all these, there sure to be one thing good about our policemen. It's just like the song written by our famous son, policemen are very thirsty all the time, and also they are very friendly towards the public. Whenever there's a minor offender in sight, that's when and where we will see our lovely policemen's true ability. They will greet you with huge smiles, telling all sort of safety rules as well as our law and regulations, and not forgetting to mentioned how heavy the compound will be etc. That's the only good thing and true capability of our policemen, that's when we will see them being most efficient because it's very tiring and thirsty for having such long conversation to publics, so we "should" buy them a coffee, preferrably with some sugar in it so it tasted sweeter.

By looking at the abovementioned, we can know roughly why our country's crime rate is getting higher, why are there so many unsolved cases inside police stations, why the same things could happen over and over again in the same area. All these sums up to our incapability of policemen.

I even heard once in Kepong area when there's an armed robbery at a coffee shop, police only arrive at crime scene about 45 minutes after call being made, when the police station is barely less than 1 km away. What made it worse is the first question asked was "Where's the robber?" Then when told he's gone, the reply with relieve is "Luckily" from the policeman. Is that protection we, the public deserve from policemen?

Probably we can't blame the policemen because they are only earning such small salary, with probably some a huge family to feed. What if something bad happened to them? Who will feed their families? All these will surely goes back to the government. For this I am not commenting anything beyond this point as I know how difficult it is to manage a big group of people, let alone a country.

The only thing I wanted to say is it's time for government and authorities to seriously look into such problem, and finding a solution to cure the root cause of it right to the bottom, otherwise it will be just a waste of time and money yet again

Country's Image affected!

Street Demos has hampered Malaysia's image in the international stage. For whichever country a street demostration will surely bring bad image to the country, be it advance country or developing country.

There were few street demonstrations happened in Malaysia recently, and this has brought our country's name temporarily famous, but for the wrong reason. Such act will scare off foreign investors, as well as affecting our peaceful life in Malaysia as a multi-racial country and society.
With such demostrations going on and off the time, we would not feel safe going out on street, we afraid to meet someone trying to brainwash you to support their act etc.

So isn't there be any better way of voicing their dissatisfactions? Is it true only foreigners can voice out our dissatisfaction on our behalf? Why would we involve foreign parties to such act, when there can be a better solution within ourselve.

Initially I thought it was true that our government treated different races unfairly, but things has got out of control and from what I'd heard, our people has been supported by foreign parties to carryout such street demos so their problems are being look into.

As a smart Malaysian, we must be clear and smart enough to judge who's right and who's wrong. People supporting you and urging you to do certain things doesn't really mean what they said. We must be clear and rasional to know what's right and wrong.

Hopefully problems could und a solutions or answer sooner rather than later and that no such street demos will hapen again.

Comparison of Street Demonstrations!

Recently Malaysia has been hit with a few street demonstrations which are affecting our lifes. But did the police forces really need to use forces to push back the demonstrators like what they did?

Just look at what happened in France, their demonstration situation is far worse than ours, and their demonstrations not only assemble on the streets, but they did actually burning cars, destroying buildings, hurting other innocents, and worst is someone got killed during these demos.

So comparing it to ours here, police shall not use excessive forces to try backing off these people unlessthere are some minority who is taking advantages of the demos to carryout such erratic act and causing problems. From what we can see, there are some minority inside these groups that is infuriated the majority and try urging them and affecting their emotions to turn things ugly. Surely these people shall be treated with appropriate act, whereas the innocents shall be left alone peacefully.

Troublesome at registering for authorised forwarders/shipping company

It has been turned from bad to worse for our custom department in Port Klang. Previously we can appoint any forwarders (Max 3 per company) at anytime by the person in charge of office. Nowadays it has chaged and need the company's director, whose name appeaed in the company's registration form to write in.

This has cause so much problem, especially foreigner owned company, like mine. We have to go around the world to get the director just to sign the letter of appointment, and what make it worst is that they would require a local to be that director.

How on earth do they expect a local to own a 100% foreign company? Any person with brain would know it is not neccessary a local to be in board of directors for foreign company. Does it mean government or custom department is indirectly insisting foreign company o have some sort of Bumi shares in its company?

This is ridiculous and is moving away from their aim to become an important and complete internation port. This will only cause more problem for companies, and it will not only scare away foreigners, but also prolong the port handling time. That means they will never be able to compete with any other neighbouring countries' ports and that they are wasting the strategically located port its advantages because of all these senseless regulations.

As for me, it's not a big deal to acquire for our management signatory, but imagine if all these are minory affected each, it could added up to a huge loss and it will only do harm to its credibility and losing its potential 'customers'

Why people don't us Pedastral bridge?

Why people in KL dont like using pedestrian bridge for crossing roads? Why government spent so much on constructingsomething where people don't utilised?

Yesterday I was driving along a main road and it's a rainy day. At one point when I trying to overtake a lorry I saw a guy who is standing right in the middle of a two-lane road, which I nearly runs into him head-on. What make it worst is that the pedestrain bridge is just right in front about 30 meters away.

What happen if I run into this guy? Would I be charge for murdering unintentionally? Just don't understand why these people have such low road safety awareness. It would nice if they are more considerate forother road users, as well as their own safety.

Another issue relating the pedestrian crossing bridge, is a lot of crossing bridge isn't safe for pedestal. Why? It is because it is dark, covered by signboard, dirty, and this is the kind of place where robberies happened most. If "lucky", you might just get a stab or two. Worst is it might costs you life. So we can't sometimes blame the pedestrian for not using the crossing bridge.

What should we do to encounter this? Please comment

Download at your own risk!

Domestic Trade and ConsumerAffairs Ministry has told the public they will face prosecution and a minimum fine of RM 250,000 for illegal downloading of songs, movies and the likes. Is this really worked to prevent pirated songs and movies beng downloaded?

A fine of RM250,000 is huge amount and I don't think many people can afford to pay such amount. If the person can't pay, what would be the consequences? Jail? Most of all, can this prevented people from downloading the mentioned from internet? Moreover internet is full of such website, where it allows people to download songs and movies. What about sharing the files? Isit consider illegal as well?

Probably our country is in need of money now that they are excercising this law to generate more money from us. This law has been there for 10 years or so, why wouldn't they enforcing it then? Why now? That's why I always said Malaysia law enforcer will only take action when they feel like it, and also when things really got out of hand. Had they excercising this law long ago, probably things wouldn't get this far uncontrolled. Another issue is the more law they enforced, the more LUBANG they can CARI MAKAN. As I said, their pockets are empty and they are hungry! So anything goes now.

Fair To All, Claimed Badawi

It is ridiculous that our PM claimed they have been fair to all the citizens. This is the biggest joke I've ever heard in years, and he still has the guts to say so after what's happening recently. If the nations has been treated fairly and equally, we would not have the street demos, and have that memorandums submitted to overseas body.

It is clearly there will always be some biasness towards Bumis, and we are not complaining it as long as we, non-bumis were well looked after. When Dr. Mahathir is still the PM, we have not heard anything like this before, and although he gave previlages to bumis, but non-bumis also have their fair shares. That's why we would not have this kind of street demos during his 20 odd year as PM.

Nowadays, it is very clear that bumis are enjoying all the previlages, and what make it worse is that these bumis are slowly conquer into non-bumis' or opositions' fair shares. So can we blame them for carrying out street demo? Badawi claimed he listened to us, he is taking action to counter this, but what has he done so far? NONE. He just let the things go by and hope it will slowly dying off by itself.

This is an act of ignorance, and also incompetent. At the same time he is covering all the shitty story up and make us looks stupid. Mind him that we are mostly knowledgable people now, and we are all more sensible people now. If our voices were heard, and being taken care off properly, I don't think we will even talk about it, let alone carryout street demos to attract the attention.

So I sincerely hope this useless, incompetent administration will all be gone after the next election, including Badawi and his womaniser deputy, Najib Razak as well as Hishamuddin and all those useless s***b**s!

Clamping Down On Scratch And Win Syndicates

Government have put their stamp down on clamping down on all scratch-and-win syndycates, which already cheated publics for millions of ringgit. This is a good sign that authority is taking this seriously, and by enforcing such law, surely the number of such syndicates will reduce.

But as to how effective the law would be? And how would public being restrain from being cheated by such syndicate? these syndicate succeeded in cheating publics off their money simply because of one simple word - greed.

As my blog posted before, we should be more aware and mustn't believe into tactics used by the syndicates, and must always keep in mind that "There's no free lunch in this world". In order to successfully demolishing the scratch-and-win syndicates, we must cooperate with the law enforcers, and at the same time, punishment handed to the syndicate must be strong, such as all involved in the scratch-and-win contest, whether employees, owners, or runners will be prosecuted, and sentences will be handed out accordingly.

Also we do hope the authority would not be corrupted and that they would carryout their job properly to completely demolish such act to save the public from being cheated.

Chong Wei the Crying Baby!

As I said so many times before, Lee Chong Wei is just an immatured crying baby. No doubt Chong Wei has improved a lot lately, especially the 2nd half of year. He had won so many titles, home or abroad. Congrate him on this as he deserve his fair share of credit.

Chong Wei became 1st runners up for the second times in as many weeks, and be frank, it's not easy to win qualify to finals for 2 consecutive weeks, let alone winning it. So we are proud of CW for that achievement.

As a top player for so long, I suppose Chong wei should handle situation during matches better than what he did over the last two weeks. You can't always complaint to a line call, and you should not be affected by it really. Line judges are all humans, and humans do made errors sometimes. Unless decisions were constantly against you, then you are right to protest to the extreme extend.

I remember just over about 2 years ago, Lin Dan also faced the similar situation during one of the tournament, and he reacted angrily to several line calls then, and his performance affected badly during that match. Somehow he could pick himself up and carryon with that match, which he won narrowly at the end. What I'm tying to say here is Chong Wei should growth more matured as time goes by, and he shouldn't be affected by a few bad line calls. That's life and you don't always get what you want. There should be a way to encounter these.

Secondly, as I said in my previous blog, Chong Wei will surely brought up his injured knee problem after tournament, whether win or lose. It is such childish and immatured act, and I already told, as stated in previous blog he is sure to mentioned his injured knee giving him problem after long back to back tournament, tiredness, etc. What I want to say is if you are tired, and/or injure, just withdraw from the tournament for your good sake, and don't forget that Malaysia still have high expectation of you and our first ever gold medal in an Olympic games still much depends on you and Men's Double Koo-Tan.

So buck up and carryon with what you do best.

Abdullah gets angry over Hindraf?

Abdullah Badawi gets angry with what happen over Hindraf incident. He is rightful to be angry with them. When a person is attacked, surely anger will takes over emotions.

Abdullah said he was anger with what Hindraf had accused the government of, and that it is not true of the accusations. To be honest, if the accusation is not true, do you really think Hindraf will simply submit something without supporting basic to an overseas society to put our own country into shamble? I don't think so

Abdullah gets angry simply because the accusations are mostly, if not all true. He is feeling the stress of how to answer such accusation when things really happened here. He can't lie, he can't get away with it without response to public. He finds is hard to explain to journalist etc. That's why he is angry. He is lost for answer for such accusation

If the accusation is incorrect, why wouldn't he take immediate action against the responsible parties? Why is he scratching head and tail to find an explaination? Overall, things has got out of control and he himself is losing control over the cabinets, parliment and administration. He is so powerless now he virtually can't do any changes to the existing cabinet at least until the next general election, by which he, Abdullah Badawi may not be the PM anymore.

That's why he angry!

Abdullah is listening!

Pak Lah has said he is listening to the publics on what is going on recently and is thinking of a way to encounter them. How true is it to his words, and is he really taking any actions against them?

From what I see he is really thinking of a way to encounter these matters. He is taking actions against these culprits. But matters he encountered is how to keep these shameful news away from public. Actions taken is to charge and catch the peoson who is complaining.

It is simple, Pak Lah simply afraid bad news against him being spread out and he's trying everything he could to stop the spreading of such. So whoever hold demonstration will be taken to police cells regardless of what it is for.

It is very pathetic that Pak Lah is doing such thing. As a PM he simply loses control over the admininstration and government. Look at his cabinets, people can just do whatever they want and surely Pak Lah won't take action against them. Recent video clip incident, if you ever listen to the conversation, you would notice that not only lawyers and ministers were involved, I could even heard our PM being mentioned for countless time. That means Abdullah Badawi knew what is going on around and yet he is leaving it happened and exploded into such stage.

Why wouldn't these shameful things happened during 22-year of Dr. M tenure? Why ministers or cabinet members were so afraid of Dr. M when he's in power? Why people will have to look over their shoulder before carryout some act? This is all because Dr. M has the control of situation and he has the power to contained such scenario. Dr. M is truely a capable and calibre leader of country. Although I not neccessary like everything he did, but I do have to say I respect the old man for what he did for our country.

Now all his effort is being wasted by this so call "Smiling Incompetent Stone-Faced" PM and if this persist, Malaysia will soon finished.
