Inter Milan Beat Barcelona

Finally Inter Milan gave their fans and country some pride to be proud of. After several years being an also-run and small team in Europe, they finally exploded this morning in the Champions' League Semi-Finals 1st leg.

They beat the defending champion, Barcelona 3-1 on the night to take a healthy lead into next week's return leg. This is all the hard work paid off, and the hard effort by Jose Mourinho, who took over Inter Milan nearly 2 years ago.

Barcelona played their usual fluid football, and with lots of possession, they manage to control the game at first. With over 60% possession time, they are running down Inter's midfield and defence easily, but maybe due to the fatigue of long journey travelled by road from Spain to Italy, they are unable to converted the few chances they had.

In turn, Inter Milan taking full advantage of the fatigue by Barca players, and they quickly threaten Barcelona with their counter attacking style, and tactic employed by Jose successfully limited barca's playmakers' Lionel Messi and Xavi every movement.

No doubt Barcelona played a fluent football, every team do have their off day, and I believe this is one of them for Barcelona. They will just have to re-adjust themselve, pick themselve up and come onto the pitch where they know most, Camp Nou to try overturn the deficit from the first leg.

Us, the supporters and followers shall just enjoy and watch 2 great footballing teams slugging it out on the pitch. Whoever win this Semi-Finals will stand a stronger chance to lift the coveted Big Ear. That's my point of view.
