Different of BN and UMNO

What's the different between Barisan Nasional and UMNO? Yesterday a company filed a lawsuit against UMNO for its unpaid bills of RM 218 mil during the 2004 general election campaign. Yes that's correct 2004 general election.

The company claimed that the bills of mentioned amount wasn't paid to date and they are sick and tiring of chasing it anymore. Now they are seeking a legal action against UMNO for the long overdue unpaid bills.

BN won by far majority than any other election and probably that has gone over their head to think they could just do without paying the bills because it simply exceeding the budget set for the election campaign.

Just 4 years later, BN faced its worst election result ever in the country's 50 years history and now people are more daring in asking what is due to them directly, unlike previous government they still need their approval and help in a way to survive. Today is different and it's been a few cases where the corrupted, reputation bankrupted government has been exposed to public about their disgraceful acts.

On questioning addressed to them, they could just simply pushed away by saying it's BN, not UMNO that sign the deal, and therefore UMNO hold no responsible for this. Quite rightly so to a certain extend because it's BN government who signed all these PO. When traced back, the person who actually signed the orders was a member from UMNO.

So is there any different a person from UMNO signed a deal under BN and can just shredded off the responsibility? If legal action is taken, will the person signed the order be taken to court for legal proceedings? For all our info, BN government is runs by majority of UMNO members, and we can safely assume that BN = UMNO and UMNO = BN.

Do you think so?
