Over Publicity Before Games

I noticed it's a common practice for Malaysia journalists that they would do up all major coverage of a possible winning games, just like Lee Chong Wei's case. Coverage has been all over country's major newspaper and some even interviewed the family prior to the final match as if Chong Wei has already won the gold medal.

Why these dumbass put on unneccessary pressure on the player before such important game? Why don't they wait till he really wins the gold medal for the country before interviewing the family members? No wonder our athletes always lose focus after some "brilliant" performance at some tournament.

Just look at Koo Kian Keat-Tan Boon Heong. When they won the Asiad, All England and Swiss Open, they were being treated like a king here. They were even being put to the election campaign schedule that distracting them of their main focus in Badminton. They are no celebrities, and they don't need such attentions!

It happened all the way back as far as 80s that I could remember. Whenever Malaysia won something, or beat some good players / teams, they are like heros. Then their performance would slowly go downhill, and that's when we know it's no way back! Just like Koo-Tan. seems they are destined for a split now!

Now reporters has costs Malaysia their possible chance of the first Olympic gold medal for the overly coverage of news. The family members even pop the champagne to celebrate the qualification for finals. Let remind you Mr Lee, Champagne is for those vitorious moment! Not for loser. So I am telling you that you are wasting the good will of champagne!
