Abdullah Ahmad Badawi fight back to all critics thrown at him. He finally losing his patient at those people trying to oust him from his post, and those who sabotage UMNO during the recent election. He's getting tough on those who do not follow instruction or do not obey his instruction.
This is the true character a PM suppose to possess, act and react upon challenged. That's how a successful leader must do when challenged. A good leader must forseen what's coming and what he's facing. That's how our former PM did during his 22 yrs of tenure.
Sadly to say now, it's a little too late, too little Badawi could do to salvage his pride as Malaysian PM. He could say whatever he wants, he could answer all the critics thrown at him all this long, and he could even explain everything needed to the nations to clear things up, but there's of no use anymore because BN has losing its intergrity and credentials. They acted like a sore loser since the 12th General Election, and they are now just trying to find fact to cover up all their inability to run the government.
Why did he answer all the critics now? Why don't he answered or question back the person who throw doubts at him there and then? If Badawi did answered all the doubts people have on him then, the damage would not be as great as it did now because people will tends to understand or at least clarified with their doubts. Now that things has got out of control, and by getting angry and fought back the way he did, it only make others to have the view of he's trying to cover up his own mistakes and incapability by now accusing others. That's exactly what BN's losing candidates been doing after 8th March 2008 till now.
And worst still is Abdullah Ahmad Badawi himself repeated himself with such act by accusing UMNO members sabotaging the party, Tun Dr. M's discomfort comments, Razaleigh's comments, and many more. Why only now you clarify yourself? Probably he's been trying to find an excuses from being the one to be blamed for the failure in the 12th general election. That's why he's been so quiet for the last 3 - 4 weeks. Finally he gathered information needed to spare himself from being bombarded.
Another issue is he still has not clarify the corruption issues. There's been so much corruption in his administrations, that people have been questioning him. Why does he switching topics when this is one of the major issue needed to be look at? Has he done anything to prevent or bringing down the number of cases or solve the cases? This is the first promise he gave to the nation when he took over from Tun Dr M. He wanted to clean up the government and he will make sure this government is run cleaned! What happen? It's not only didn't clean up, but the problem got worse, and it containminated the whole of the government right from the top till the very bottom levels. That's what he meant by cleaning up the act.
There are too many cases and issues Pak Lah wanted to solve yet not solved. There were several cases too that he promised the nation but could not fulfil them, yet containminate them further. That's a lousy leadership quality and that explain exactly why BN failed under his reign.
Last piece of advise to Pak Lah: Better to step down sooner rather than later. At least you can step down with your head held little higher now.
