Man Utd March On!

After the win over Arsenal over the weekend, coupled with this morning's result, the path of Man Utd retaining the EPL title is clearer as they extended their lead over Chelsea to 5 pts with 4 games remaining.

Looking back on their performance last weekend, it's easy to understand why they are top of the league at the moment and are in Semi-Finals of Champions' League. They have such depth in reserves and their reserve players are all strong and experienced.

The game initially went to Arsenal way as the Gunners looked more threathening in the opening half, and they went close several times, if not for their lack of killing instint in front of goal, the Gunners would be leading the Devils going into half time. Yet it was again proof such resilence performance from the Devils.

When Andersson and Tevez came on for Scholes and Park, the game switched to Man Utd way, and they doesn't look back since. Despite only in the first year of his MU career, Andersson gave such a consistant and resilent performance into the team. He not only holding balls, attack and dictating games, he also defended well when needed. Owen Hargreaves also gave a notably god performance in the last two weeks, and given time, this Man Utd team will progress further and improved.

As comparison, Chelsea's progress has been hampered by the departure of Jose Mourinho. They may be unbeaten in the league for long period of time, and they are still second in the league, but their performance can't be judge as one of the elite teams. Avram Grant may have done an OK job in Chelsea, but there's no sign of progress under his charge. He only continue what's set up by his predecessor. It also showed Grant's inexperience and naivity on European night. He doesn't seems to know what he suppose to do when the goings get tough.

Arsenal will improve given the quality of players they had currently, but they will need to add some experience as well as depth in squad before they are able to challenge for multiple glories because players will get exhausted as season go on, like what they are experiencing now. I trusted Arsene Wenger will have the plan for next season as who he need and where to source for them.

Liverpool, I have nothing much to say apart from looking for a new calibre coach. Rafa Benitez is not the right person to lead The Cop to glory, and they would rued on the missed opportunity to get Fabio Capello when he is available. The squad itself looks strong and it's a dream to most coaches to work with the bunch of players there.

Few more weeks and we will see the winner of the long lasting season. Also wishing it'll be an All-EPL teams Finals in Moscow at the end of May.
