Should MCA President Stepdown?

Should Dato Seri Ong Ka Ting be blame for the failure of MCA in the recent conculded election? Has he done enough to remain in the hot seat? If he steps down, who's the suitable candidate to replace him?

We've seen enough of crap out from MCA recently. Most notably is the Selangor MCA member demanding Ong KT to step down. For me I feel Ong Ka Ting has really change the way MCA looks, and also he's trying his best effort to lead MCA to his best possible capability and bring us move forward far more than he would anticipated.

But we have to be realistic and realise that it's not easy to be in his position and giving his stands in the parliment and cabinets, all his effort and works is closely watched by his "Superior" and that anything out of line would get him into trouble with his "Superior". So I greatly have sympathy towards Ong and that he can't do a lot of things we would want him to because of some obligation.

When I read about the Selangor MCA member demanding for his resignation, the first thing appear in my mind is that these idiots merely wanted to make a name of themselve for future, and that they are seeking some higher position within the party for the good sake of themselve. I can rest assure all of you that if these people are taking over some important role within MCA, be it HQ or state level, I'm sure MCA would be in more trouble as it is now.

For us we must understand one thing, which is Barisan National is the ruling party, not MCA, not MIC, not PPP. It's lead by Barisan National's leader, who is xxxxxxx. (you should know who, and this person listen to XXXXX). At this very moment, MCA members should stay strong and stay together, not to split up the party further and depleting the party further. If MCA want to win back the people's heart, I think they would be best leave the past over and work together to solve and service the public.

I think Barisan National has no different to UMNO. It's all ruled by the same old person who's incapable to think himself, let alone manage the country. He only listen, he listened to everyone, he's understanding how everyone's feeling. Yet he only listen and felt. Has anyone ever hear him say he listen and understand you, and act upon it? NO is the answer. He listen only! No action taken whatsoever!

I understand that the emperor only heeds the advice of the eunuchs of his trusted inner circle.

Has this person been properly castrated and admitted to the inner circle?

So what is the way forward? A new eunuch or a new concubine?

MCA and MIC are expired entities, kaput, way past their use-by dates. Same goes for Umno - which is being kept alive only by racial sentiment, and we know racial sentiment has had its ruinous day on this fast-evolving planet. The only ones who have a vested interest in maintaining racial sentiment might be arms dealers who love bloody conflict - whether in Darfur or the Middle East or anywhere else you find stubborn old warlords left over from ancient times. Their day is over. They are dinosaurs. I celebrate the fact that by 2013 this particular species of human will only be found in our museums. That's the accelerating velocity of change, of transformation. It doesn't get reported because the mass media are owned by these same warlords and their cousins the robber barons. Academics can't see it because they are way too specialized and compartmentalized - and for the most part are mostly concerned about grants and tenures. The only ones who can FEEL THE CHANGES COMING are the youth - they are wired! They have access to data that is literally multidimensional!
They may have little political clout but after March 8th you will see millions of voting age youngsters register. They now know voting can change the most corrupt system - if the numbers exceed all expectations. Those who rig the polls cannot overdo their chicanery or they will be discovered - so they rig it for the incumbents to win by a respectable margin. When the volume of hostile votes reaches tsunami height the cheating mechanism jams - and even a giant like BN or Citibank or the USSR (or the USA for that matter) can and will fall like Humpty Dumpty.

Who cares a hoot about Ong Ka Ting? Not me. The only memory I have of OKT is that he was deputy home minister when Lim Guan Eng was imprisoned for speaking up on behalf of the 15-year-old schoolgirl seduced and gangbanged by Rahim Thamby Chik and Umno friends. I clearly recall that OKT refused to issue even a thin mattress for Guan Eng's comfort, nor would he allow him the most meagre of amenities. He proved himself to be a coldblooded reptile then and I doubt his blood has grown any warmer since. Good riddance, bye bye!

To Antares:
For the last paragraph that you accuse on Ong Ka Ting is not true.
1999 Ong Ka Ting as deputy Home Minister has visited Lim Guan Eng and instruct the Prison to allow Lim Guan Eng to receive the specialist treatment at end of September. see Kit Siang Blogs : http://www.limkitsiang.com/archive/1999/feb99/sg1584.htm
Ong Ka Ting did change the Prison rule to provide mattress to every prisoner. See the report at http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/hrrpt/1999/295.htm
