Toll Rate Review

It is good news to hear government is reviewing its contracts with Highway Company and revising its toll rate lower. That's a very good news for millions of road users especially those in Klang Valley. For the first time in Malaysia's 50 years history, toll rate will be revise to a lower rate, unlike during Samy Vellu's reign period, where toll rate will be increased every 3 years or so!

That's all for the good news. STOP!

The question being asked now is why wouldn't government review its contract with these blood-sucking companies? Why only they do it now? What's the motive of government for doing so after facing its worst humiliating defeats in the March 08 General Election? If the contract signed with Highway Companies stated they entitle to raise toll rate at a certain interval, then there shouldn't be any clause that these companies will bulge into and reduce the toll rate.

For this my prediction is that all the while government has been treating the nation as a fool, and they just allow them to increase toll rate at ease without any objection because they have more than 2/3 majority in the parliament, and more notorious is that some of the ministers actually own partially these highway companies. That's why they wouldn't oppose to the companies' application for toll rate increase!

Today scenario is different, BN no longer have 2/3 majority in the parliament, and should toll rate do not lowered, I think Pakatan Rakyat will one way or another forcing government to review its contract with highway companies to public so that public can be convinced to the contract signed. Please be reminded that poor old fat Samy Vellu agreed to review its contract between government and highway companies 2 to 3 years ago, but up to date, the only thing we, public see and hear is merely the empty promises again and again.

If not because of this so call politic tsunami, do you think we will ever get the toll rate revised and lowered? If not because of the strong opposition in the parliament, do you think government will start doing such thing for the public? If not for the de fecto of Malaysian Citizens against the blood sucking government, they will realise they are the actual most hated organisation an in the world for all Malaysians?

Another thing is BN still don't realise they are losing the trust of Malaysians and they up until now still blaming others but themselves that cause them the defeats in most areas. They still think they have done nothing wrong in the process leading to 8th of March 2008, and they still think by lowering toll rates now will win back the nation's votes, and they still think with its current cabinet members they will rule the country for another 50 years like this.
Wake up BN! It is way too late for you to do such act now and even scrapping off all the toll plaza around Malaysia will not wins you the heart of the nations. You still don't know what the people of Malaysia wants, and you still don't know what's the actual cure for all the problems to this country, and you don't even know who the right person to be put in place to change all this! I'm not saying PR will be a better government, but we've seen too much of the way BN running the government and its administration, so there's no hope for them anymore. At least with PR we will have that little bit of fresh hope! Who knows!
