Beaufort MP DS Lajim has told Sabahans they must be grateful for progress achieve thus far with the financial and development planning from Federal Government. This came after SAPP publicly declared their dissatisfaction towards BN's treatment of Sabah and its development up to date.
I'm not sure on what basis did Lajim use to measure the development of Sabah as a state, and how satisfy he is with the development of Sabah from help of Federal Government, but the progress of Sabah's development is there to be seen, and with such fabolous resources, and a lucrative revenue in oil producing, Sabah should be one of the most advance state in Malaysia, and their state development should be much more advance than the current state.
So for Lajim to satisfy with progress this far, it is not difficult to see why Sabah is still lacking behind in development progress until today. If federal government really fully utilise and support the state development, I think Sabah would be more advance and progressive than state like Selangor and Penang. Yet what we see is like some 20 years ago. No much progress since 20 years ago.
Just wanted to remind Lajim, has federal government openly declare the tax and profit collected from the state's resources? Has they given back enough amount for the state's development? If no, where's the money gone?
As part of the federal government state, funding the state progress is a definite, and surely funds need to be brought in to development. Do we expect a poor opposition party, who don't even get access to federal government's account to subsidise other people's teritory? It is so naive and senseless for Lajim to even suggest that federal government has been supporting Sabah all the while and people should be grateful!
Maybe Sabahans are self-satisfy easily hence no complaint from them all the while. Maybe they are getting use to this only choice of life!
